6 Wks Po BBL & TT - Bowie MD

I have been reading reviews on here back in the winter months and decided when it was time, I would post a review once I decided on a doctor and had my own procedure. Just wanted to pay forward what I’ve been able to get from all the lovely women on this site, opinions and most of all B&A pics! I am 6 weeks post op from tummy tuck & bbl done by Dr. Benjamin. My previous waist was 36 inches. current waist is 32. My butt was 40 inches and is now 42 inches. He told me he put 680cc in right side and 720cc in the left. Also some to my hips to fill them in. I’m still a little swollen in my pubic area but overall I am very happy with my shape especially in contrast to how I looked before. Could not ask for a better ps than Dr. B! He’s very kind and patient, answered all of my questions and reassured me he would take good care of me during surgery, which he did. He also called to check on me the next day and came out to see me 2 days later.

I was in pain for about 7 days after but slowly started being able to do more and more as time went on. I hated the immediate recovery process as I have a low threshold for pain. Getting up every hour and making myself walk around being all stiff and sore. But looking back now it was worth it. It didn’t feel like it was at the time though. I took vicodin for 4 days then switched to 800 ibuprofen. The overall experience of being able to follow up with a doctor with any concerns is worth to me just as much as the actual procedure itself. The fact that he takes the time to call over the weeks and see how you are doing, I really appreciated that!

The worst part was the not sitting or sleeping on my butt or sides for 4 weeks, I know the average is 3 but I wanted to stretch it as much as I could. I slept face down on a bunch of pillows piled up under my belly, so that I was slouched over on them, and then a few pillows under my chin so I wasn’t completely faceplanted. It was hard to have to do that for so long but I couldn’t sleep on my sides either for the fat grafting to the hips. It was worth it now that I’m on the other side but at the time, boy I did question my sanity for wanting the 2 procedures at once! I had to keep reminding myself how miserable I have been with my belly and my butt, the before pictures aren’t the best but they do show how awful it really was. I am happy with my results now. Dr. B is great and I’m so glad I chose him! I would not have found a more competent and personable doctor to suit my needs. He gave me a beautiful shape that suits me naturally.

Most importantly, my scar is nice and low and I haven’t had any complications, thank God (and Dr. B of course)!
