30 Years Old and I Can Finally Breathe - Bountiful, UT

I have struggled with breathing through my nose...

I have struggled with breathing through my nose for over ten years. And 3 years ago I kept getting sick every 6 weeks always starting out with a sinus infection. My doctor told me I should see and ENT.

I wanted someone who was considered the best. After doing a lot of research I decided on Dr. Scott K Thompson. One thing I really appreciate is he has a background with fine arts. Which is a major need if you want your surgery to come out correctly and to be happy with not only the medical outcome but also the appearance.

My first visit I was nervous as he went over what I needed fixed. The thought of surgery made me so nervous. I forgot a lot of my questions.

The staff at Scott K. Thompson facial plastic did really well at addressing my concerns I had between my visit and surgery.

When I arrived for surgery I was still super nervous about it all. But Dr. Thompson came and met with me before surgery, he addressed everything that was making me nervous and helped me relax and helped make sure that I would get what I was ultimately wanting. We decided it would be best to rebreak my nose and along with the septoplasty. The whole team was great the anesthesiologist met with me as well and explained what he would be doing for me as well (anesthesia was my biggest worry.)

Overall I would say there is a reason why so many people love Dr. Thompson he's confident in his skills and has a great eye for detail and precision. He is worth traveling for and it's a great peace of mind knowing you can trust that you have someone who knows what they are doing performing your surgery. Hands down I would recommend him to anyone. Most people aren't pleased with surgery for a month after I was pleased with the results after a week.

Glad to hear that your surgery was a success, congrats! What are you best pre/post-op tips to share?

Before surgery 1 took 3000 mg of vitamin c everyday for a week. I thought it was excessive but after my research found that it actually helps your body after surgery. And you should take it the month following surgery as well. The first few days after surgery I would try and avoid things that make you laugh hard I found that out the hard way and it hurts. Saline will be your go to every hour plan on having one bottle a day for the first 4 days if you're in a dry climate after 4 days I don't go through it as fast but still use it through out the day. Other then that make sure you trust your doctor. Bottom line that's the most important thing.
