7 weeks PO and ready to get back to the gym
Meggie0961August 17, 2016
WORTH IT$11,000
I see the surgeon tomorrow and I'm really, really hoping he will clear me for full activity (running, weight training, etc) as my body will allow. My fingers, toes, arms and legs are all crossed.
At this point I don't think there is much difference visually from 4 weeks PO. I never had much swelling and the scar is slowly (very slowly) getting better.

Just over four weeks PO tummy tuck

My hubby thinks my pink boy shorts look like "granny panties" :) but that aside, I'm very happy with my side profile. Maybe even more so than from the front. Still not sure about the flank lipo but what's done is done on that front.

4 weeks PO TT and couldn't be happier
Meggie0961July 26, 2016
Tomorrow will be four weeks from my date of surgery. I've been very mobile since the end of the first week (no pain meds of any kind) and I got cleared yesterday to start walking on the treadmill again. :) No running or weights for another 4 weeks (possibly more) but I'm thrilled I get to start back (incrementally) on the treadmill. I feel fantastic so my biggest challenge is reminding myself that I'm still healing and need to take it easy.

Absolutely amazing!!

Thanks. I seriously couldn't be happier. Worth every penny and the few days of pain/discomfort.

Really hoping for a similar finish to yours.
Hoping I heel as quickly too.
4 days post op, still doubled over & having a panic that I'll never be able to stand straight. Your progress makes me feel hopeful though.

Standing up straight took a couple of weeks so don't sweat that. :) It will be a bit better each day.
The pain I think really varies from person to person and honestly I had very little swelling which helped. This was also my 10th surgery (first cosmetic, nine were for health reasons) so I think I probably have a higher tolerance for post-op pain.

This is really reassuring to read, thank you.
Yes it was my first ever general anaesthetic so a bit of a surgery virgin, definitely panicking over everything being normal or not as I don't have much to compare it to.
I'll try & relax a little :)

Always listen to your inner voice because you know your body best! Hopefully if you do have anything concerning your medical team is available to answer questions. Every other time I've had surgery I've been in the hospital 3-7 days post-op so coming home a few hours after surgery was a new experience for me too!

Yes they've been great. My surgeon saw me 3 times before discharge with daily contact since. I feel lucky for this but still find myself comparing my healing to others.
You're exactly right, I must listen to my own body & try not to rush myself.'thanks for the guidance.

Wow you look fantastic... Please let me know how your work out goes. I am 4 weeks next thursday and was advised the same by my doctor. I can start walking after that point. Best of luck!

Thanks, I'm very happy with the result and my doc said my ab muscles looked great from all my hours in the gym. I did walk for 30 minutes today at 3.8 mph. When I got started I thought it would be cake (after all I usually run 6 miles in 60 minutes most days) but after 30 min I knew it was enough. Hopefully my stamina comes back quickly!

You look great!!! You dont look lime you have any swelling. Remember you are still healing on the inside.

Thanks! I'm really very happy. I very, very little swelling overall. I'm not going to complain. :) I'm glad to read that your swelling went down over the weekend.
