This has been the WORST Botox injection experience...

This has been the WORST Botox injection experience EVER! and I have been receiving this treatment for over a decade!--Have moved and needed to find a capable physician for Botox injections, and stumbled upon this disastrous practice!-- This is a chaotic , unorganized practice!--I asked for my frown lines and forehead lines to be treated as it has been by my previous physician without issues and with great skill and success. NOT HERE! Dr. Brodsky injected the outer corners of my eyes without my asking or WITHOUT ANY EXPLANATION or CONSENT in addition to forehead and in between brows. Well pictures speak a thousand words! I am not only devoid of my forehead and in between brow wrinkles, BUT BEST OF ALL I WAS LEFT WITH "PTOSIS" of my RIGHT eye lid and heavy bruising which was very painful for the first few days! One eyebrow is drooped (right) and the other raised and I am left with a lopsided appearance!-Allie, their supposed manager assistant explained that she will get my funds refunded after my explanation of what a disaster my Botox Treatment has been!--Dr. Brodsky's husband supposedly running the office called back two days later saying:" The Botox is already in my HEAD" and I should come back for further adjustment injections by Dr. Amy Brodsky!--explained that I will NOT be coming back as she is an UNSKILLED INJECTOR and they at the very least should refund me as I will need to seek another for treatments for this MESS!--He explained that Dr. Brodsky is the most skilled injector in the North Shore!----Well I hope NOT! as I will have to seek a different shore for PROPER Botox treatments!!!---Ladies & Gents STAY AWAY IF YOU DO NOT WANT THIS TO HAPPEN TO YOU!

I pray you do not have a latent reaction like I did. I was not injected there, but I had an unskilled injector, & within a couple of months had such a brain fog, that i could not speak!!! Lasted 18 months, & I still am not back to normal brain function. Report her to the medical board!

No absolutely NOT fake!---if you read my text , 'just moved!'---Absolutely have no reason to write a harassment review!
It is the truth that needs to be honestly shared to help others avoid a similar outcome!

Sorry, but reviews with so much usage of caps always look bogus to me. That you write yo write the same review on multiple sites with a different name seems suspect as well.
Lastly, the usage of so many personally insulting terms instead of defining ones is a bit too stalker'ish to take seriously.
Lastly, a situation like that would be a lawyer's dream come true, making it suspect that you leave tons of reviews with differing names, but the same story, but not a civil attempt. Again, all together seems quite stalkerish

Oh I get it ! You've signed up 'just to respond' to my review dude or dudete!-- That's ok it won't work!
Truth will be told! Also , this site is about sharing for AWARENESS! YOU're hung up on which lawyers have contacted me etc. !
Also, dude or dudete , do NOT worry about judging my review! Go ahead and walk into this Doctor's office or whomever you choose!
P.S. ALL the CAPS are for U!!!

You must have a LOT OF TIME on your hands to better the world trying to decide what's fake and what's not according to 'you' sitting in CALI !

No need to defend myself against NONSENSE!
Keep your analyzations to yourself!

Says the person making rash accusations and analysis in multiple names all over the internet.
Hypocrisy is a usual sign of internet bullies.
Again, proved my point.

thank you for the review. I live in the Glenview area and am looking to get botox. I will stay away from her. Also its very stressful, costly and lengthly to persue this situation legally. Sounds like the other comment is a bit sue happy. If she tried it , she would know its not as easy as people say it is. I appreciate your comments and warnings.

appreciate it! it has been agonizing and stressful and I hope you find someone skilled and reputable to do this procedure for you safely.

Skilled injector or not it does not negate the fact that every brand of botulinum toxin can produce botulism. Any injector can nick a vein and introduce a portion of the toxin to your bloodstream. But even when it hits your muscle, it tracks up the nerve to the central nervous system for systemic spread. It's clearly in the medical literature that dermatologists do not bother to read.

Ptosis and brain fog are common symptoms of "systemic spread of toxin" which indicates mild botulism (not an accurate oxymoron since "mild" botulism includes permanent neurological damage and can result in fatalities)

The person making $500 off your appointment is probably not the least biased person to consult about the safety profile of Botox. Look through this forum under flu-like symptoms and you will find thousands of comments about pain, damage, botulism, regrets, etc.

I had this procedure done well over a decade by another physician without issues.
Dr. Brodsky did not have the decency to tell me that she has injected a vessel and left me to discover the aftermath of it after I got home to see myself swollen, bruised and drooped and unable to move my right eye!
She did however make sure a staff person come in to try and sell her own labeled skin care products to me and throw away what I've been using!

The needles are exceedingly thin and given the pressure of the vein it can collapse so physicians would not be able to determine if they hit a vein or not. That's what makes these Botox injections such a game of Russian Roulette. Until symptoms show up a few days later systemic spread can not be determined. BoNT uptake is a slow process, up to two weeks sometimes. Systemic spread is a faster process but how quickly the symptoms appear is based on how much toxin hit the bloodstream. That is an unknown. 50 units can be enough to induce a fatal outcome.

In my particular case, while I was laying back with eyes shut trying to be a very still and 'good' patient, this doctor ventured toward my eye area and after that had an 'Uh Oh!' quiet reaction that I did not question at the time. The only thought in my mind was ' why is she near my eye area since I did not ask for Botox there?'
Also, after going home and having the symptoms get worse and thereafter contacting the above office, I realized that she ( this doc) was fully aware of what had occurred as far as puncturing and injecting a vessel near my eye.
So in my case not only did she inject an area I did not ask to be injected, but she failed to warn me on the ramifications of what had occurred during this injection so that it is dealt with in a professional and honest manner.
