Botox is not for me, I'm experiencing extreme anxiety, headaches like you wouldn’t believe
Holy Migraine
I have been getting Restylane for many years, but had Botox once 10 years ago and it made one of my eyes droop, so I thought that I’d give it a second chance with the plastic surgeon that I would trust my life with. It took around 5 days to fully kick in and I could feel my forhead getting tighter and tighter and those mean lines between my eyes disappear.
However, as things tightened, I got unbearable migraines for the first time in my life. It felt like someone took an elastic band and wrapped my head tightly from just below my eyes to the top of my head.
It has been a year of crying and visits to the neurologist for migraine and seizure medications to try to get rid of these 24/7 migraines. My life has been changed to living in a house with all the blinds closed and the lights off. I am now on oral and injectable medications. I feel so stupid and when people say “but they use Botox for migraines,” they don’t understand that this is a paralyzing thing I chose to do to myself, so that’s the last thing I want to hear.
The next time you see a Botox commercial, listen to the side effects. HEADACHES are listed as one. I thought that once the Botox wore off in a few months, I’d get better. Nope.
Botox is Not for Me
My plastic surgeon is someone I trusted after having had Restylane injections plus 15 years. She said she would be conservative and that I could come back for more if it hadn’t smoothed out the vertical lines between my brows. Haha. I will never put myself through this hell again. I called her office to report these symptoms because I also feel tight in the chest. The office manager called me back and said there was absolutely no connection to Botox. She asked if I had some event I was worried about and alluded to me having mental health illness. Total gaslighting. I try to distract myself with television and I totally miss the plot and must replay. I couldn’t tell you what I watched five minutes previously. I signed a consent form and these symptoms appeared nowhere. I don’t know why anyone would put themselves through this a second time. I hope these side effects go away soon and don’t get worse. I feel stupid for doing this to myself and wasn’t vain to choose this instead of growing old gracefully. If anyone has a cure for this, please let me know, because clearly, my doctor doesn’t care enough about me to help.

The ingredient in unisom sleep aid is doxylamine succinate (25 mg/dose) I usually only have to take a small dose.
Benadryl’s active ingredient is diphenhydramine . I get dried out as well.
There are other like melatonin but I get migraines on that but may work great for you as it does my husband. He works night and will use it for a shirt time each month to switch back. Hope you are getting better ;)
