Dr Emer and Staff

I recently visited Dr Jason Emer’s office in West Hollywood, it was by far the best experience I’ve had with a cosmetic surgeon. I don’t like to put a negative spin on things but in order for you to understand why this visit meant so much to me you must understand my previous experiences with super expensive, famous doctors that have been pretty awful I had my breasts done by a tv star doctor that I had so much faith in and he Botched me, I’ve spent $15,500 (absurd) on the initial surgery and then ($9,500) on a revision 3 months later that gave me extreme body dysmorphia not to mention terrible depression from all the chemicals and regret that lasted well over a year, (also causing my face to age rapidly) by the way still very unhappy with the results. He left cotton inside my body that created little tumors that caused pretty intense pain and also caused a large scar from a sloppy incision around my areola and I ended up losing part of it due to that ( went in with very symmetrical pretty breasts that I just wanted slightly enlarged came out scarred and tumors) later I went to a very Instagram famous doctor for filler on my jawline chin and lips, one side looked great the other substantially lower, throwing the symmetry of my face way off and giving me a masculine appearance also a thoughtless job on the lips that was uneven and a total waste of money ( about $4,000) what should be simple Botox around my eyes and forehead left one eye drooping and heavy and the other lifted too much and the corner had a kink creating a little wrinkle , I still have a Botox bank with her but don’t even trust her to do that honestly. And when I expressed my displeasure at the shabby work she harmed and flipped me, saying it’s because my face is asymmetrical and my jawline is substantially different from the other (I’m calling bullshit on that, I’m my own worst critic and never has my jawline been different from the other, you places the filler incorrectly) no accountability and didn’t fix the issue. So very unprofessional and frankly it hurt my feelings. I work hard for my money and wanted my body treated with respect not thoughtlessly rushing me in and out and saving good work for the stupid little Instagram videos of models.

Going into Emer’s office was different in every way. First off he hires real people not plastic Barbies that can barely answer a phone (pretty typical at plastic surgeon offices, especially the trendy famous ones) every single person is friendly, helpful, professional and seems to really care about the experience they give to the patient. I didn’t wait for 2 hours just to go in a room (also typical at the other offices) I went straight in, took very professional pictures in a very professionally set up room, 3 different camera types, all different angles. (Ensuring you can see your real results) I knew as soon as Dr Emer introduced himself I was in good hands. He explained in detail how each treatment worked, why my face may be lax in certain areas and what he could do for each issue, he basically made a menu with pricing that made it super easy to figure out my treatment plan. Together we chose and he went to work. I had threading above they eye to create lift and a cat eye, Botox around the eyes and filler to smooth out the creases from frowning (which by the way no other doctor has ever been able to remedy seems super simple with all the tools at their disposal but apparently they aren’t capable) filler on the creases from nose to mouth and filler in lips and a bit on chin where other doctors had created irregularities with filler that left me super self conscious and looking aged. I immediately looked much improved, it’s been a day and a half and it’s getting prettier and smoother, I can’t wait to see the results in a week when everything has taken effect. He was so precise and effortless with his work. The people assisting him were lovely, very caring. Everyone is so down to earth, real conversations with real people. Dr Emer is it for me, I won’t go to anyone else again. He’s by far the most skilled, the best bedside manner of anyone ever. He worked with cancer patients prior to his current path which I feel gives him more compassion for people suffering from body image issues which I have really really struggled with since all the previous doctors I went to disfigured my body and face. I feel like my face looks like my actual face again, I feel naturally pretty I can’t thank you enough Dr Emer, still some work to be done on my chin and under eyes but it’s a strong start. I appreciate people that do their job right. Thank you
