Botox for Calf Reduction

ORIGINAL POST

Botox for Calf Reduction

I wanted calf reduction and i tried Botox, it didn’t worth it.
I had 100 units in each calf. I was told that I was a good candidate because i have muscle hypertrophy (no fat) but it didn’t worth it. I didn’t had trouble walking or pain.
My next option is radio frequency nerve ablation.

I would die for those calves! I would never complain about my legs ever again but here I am looking at calves implant results you have amazing legs! Don’t do anything to them. It’s better than having chicken calves like mine i have never worn shorts or cute dresses because I hate them so much cherish those amazing legs
My calves are exactly like yours! I got radiofrequency about two month ago and still recovering. The recovery is very fast, I can walk around after 3 days. Right now I still haven’t seen reduction in my calves but when I stand on my tippy toes, I don’t see protruding muscle anymore so I have a lot of hope. Good luck to you!
I am glad your recovery is going well! You were able able to walk normally after only 3 days? You are two months later now, are you able to run...? Who was your doctor? Do you still have swelling? I read a lot about RF, it is not really permanent, nerves will probably grow back... (see on Pubmed  « anatomical studie of the nerve regeneration after selective neurectomy in the rabbit: clinical application for calf reduction » ).
The only permanent option is muscle resction, like they do in Asia, but I am not ready for that!
Yeah, I had my surgery on a Friday and by Monday I went to a follow up then fly home and Tuesday I went to work like no problem. I didn't try running but I did go hiking for 12 miles last weekend and it was not very technical and I was able to do it. I went to Dr. Perry Liu in Beverly Hills and it was great. I actually considered calf muscle resection too but at my current status (I started working 3 years ago and haven't saved enough and can't just take a very long time off, since the recovery is long), I decided to do RF for now, but eventually I want to do muscle resection.
How much did you pay..?
$8250
I am glad to hear that! I am scheduled in October with Dr.Liu.
I you want information about muscle resection, you could read this forum « purseblog How can I make my calves smaller » There is a lot of testimony from patients from Dr.Park and Jong.
My calves are identical to yours. I’m 32 yrs old. I did botox too and no results.. I did the radio frequency too 4 times in the last 2yrs and no results either. Very minimum changes to my calves when I wear heals they look slightly less bulky for the first couple hours. But by the end of the night they swell and the muscle looks bigger again. Definitely not worth all the money I spent. Please if you know anything that works let me know. Thank you
4 times in 2 years? Who was your doctor? Do you have before/after mesures? I knew it wouldn’t be permanent after one treatment but I thought that after multiple session, the results would improve...? How much did each RF cost you?
After a long reflexion, I went for gastrocnemius calf surgery with Dr.Park. You can have more information on “Purse blog Forum, How can I make my calves smaller”
Would love to hear about your surgery experience! So you’ve decided on muscle resection?
When I first found out about the gastrocnemius surgery, I thought that the girls who moved on with the surgery were crazy, who would risk trouble walking for beauty? Then I started searching for scientific articles on the subject and I found some. Then I read the PurseBlogForum How can I make my calves smaller (206 pages) with a lot of testimony of girls who their only regret was that they would have like to know about the surgery earlier in their life. I have thinking about it for years and I decided to move on 3 weeks ago, I already walk normally (with effort). This is a really big surgery, PAINFULL more than I could have imagine, big commitement with stretching and compression for 6 months to a year.
But I feel like I will be satisfied and that I will recover almost all my calves strength, from all the testimony I gathered.
If you are motivated with surgery, you can spend time reading the entire purseblog forum. My nickname is also Girl.
