How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.

Botched Double Eyelid Surgery
In 2013 I underwent double eyelid surgery with dr andrew kim at his Melbourne office on queen st. I researched a little and his name came up, i went on to his website and saw before and after photos, i thought he is korean and has worked there, (as korea is the capital of double eyelid surgery) i assumed he was experienced in the double eyelid surgery and would understand the asian eye better. Stupid me for thinking like that and not researching him further.
When i open my eyes now you cannot see any crease but when my eyes are half open or when im looking down you can see two creases on my left eye and a deep sunken crease on my right eye. Dr kim did do a revision on my right eye to correct the sunkeness but that procedure didn’t help much.
I believe dr kim flukes his surgeries. Its just luck if you get a good set of crease and not his expertises.
I also didn’t find him very understanding or caring. After my complaint I felt uncomfortable vibes around him. As if i was a burden.
It now takes me twice as long to do my eye makeup and i can only use black eyeshadow to hide the botched crease dr kim created as light shadow doesn’t cover it.
After 6 years i am now thinking of revising to fix my botched double eyelid surgery from dr kim. For six years I couldn’t trust anyone else as i was so scared it would get worse.
I wanted to share my experience with anyone thinking of double eyelid surgery with dr kim to please reconsider. After researching him now I found he is not a plastic surgeon and only a cosmetic doctor. “Cosmetic doctor” in Australia is a loosely regulated industry.
