Dr Schmidt ruined my face and caused horrible scars all over my ears, and hairline. I’ll never wear a pony tail even though I told him this is very important to me as an athlete. He tried to fix the scars by injecting steroids at frequent intervals and caused severe atrophy to top it off. Than he tried to sell me filler for the dents “at cost”. He took no accountability. He is a miserable person. Dr Schmidt has no ethics at all. He pushed a facelift on a 40 year old, when I came to him with a different problem - which he didn’t help with AT ALL.
He even called me from Costco the next day for my follow up. Disgusting! Please run from this office. Even his staff look miserable. I asked his nurse if she liked working for him and she could barely answer with “sure”. He ruins faces/lives and has no morals. RUN!!!! Not a day goes by that I don’t wish I stuck with Dr Brent Smith after all the consults! Why?!?!

It's pretty normal in California to get facelifts at 40. There is keloid treatments (lasers) available at your dermatologist/Botox place . I hope your facelift has settled in and you're feeling better about the result , I'm sure you look great
You have no idea what you’re talking about. She doesn’t need to be invalidated and gaslit anymore. She was harmed and doesn’t want you to tell her it’s ok. Please go somewhere else where they do facelifts at 40 and younger. Let’s just change everyone’s face. You should go see Jeffery Schmidt, because he’d love to do that for you… plus a few holes in your face and dents, like we wear every day from him.

@ladyloops I live in California and I can assure you that getting facelifts at 40 is NOT the norm. To even suggest surgery for someone who didn't even ask for it seems outrageous to me. After causing the problem, she is offered a bunch of solutions. What is this surgeon thinking? Why not do it right the first time? This is expensive and stressful. I'm suspecting that you work for the surgeon. There seems to be many trolling trying to discredit valid complaints and it's hurtful. We need solutions, not more problems. @humourous565120 I'm so sorry to read about your experience. My heart goes out to you. I know this affects not just you, but everyone you love. Thank you for taking the courageous step and posting an honest review so potential patients see both sides (the good and the bad) and make better decisions. The truth is that this is surgery and it's risky no matter how it's sold.
Unfortunately a lot of Caucasians don’t think of keloids, because it is unheard of. However they do get it. Ethnic peoples know exactly what it is at first sight and seeking treatment fast. The only thing the doctor was right about was giving her steroids injections in the scars; it will prevent it from getting irritated and bigger. However that is not a facelift incisions, I don’t know what that is.

I am so sorry, he botched and destroyed my face as well. I think there’s something mentally wrong with him. He is obsessed with skinny faces, and over aggressive with his treatments. He has no concept of enhancing natural beauty, but wants to drastically change people. He doesn’t mind leaving scars and dents and thinks we should expect this as a normal risk of surgery. I believe there are many of us who he has botched. I would encourage anyone else reading this who he has ruined to leave a review. It’s so hard when you are in anguish, and you just want to hide in humiliation. But it’s the only way to warn people and take some form of justice. There are some surgeons and doctors who are healers and some who have a weird God complex and no conscience about harming people. Jeffery Schmidt is dangerous and deranged.

Do you think the scar placement is appropriate way above her ear with a LONG incision? Did you read how he repeatedly injected steroids causing tissue atrophy? She had deep holes from the steroids, I talked to her about this. Far from botched? I’d like to see what you think botched is… read my review. This doctor liposuctioned my face past the mucousa … literally into my cheek and took all the tissue from my lower face. Maybe I’m not botched either and it’s all my imagination. Would you like this doctor to work on your face? Unbelievable to throw this woman under the bus with your discrediting remarks.
There are risks . And we all know them .And scars can become hypertrophic . When I had my surgery they asked me if I m willing to take all the risks . There are also no cuts without scars and neither invisible scars . This is my opinion
@madrigal in your case yes . I saw pictures now . I m Sorry to tell you , this procedure aged you a lot . In her case , i dont understand why she did not asked where the scars are gonna be placed. ?
Indeed, Jeffery Schmidt not only aged me, he deformed my face, caused nerve damage to my lips, dents in my cheeks, grooves under my chin, skeltonized, sores in my mouth under those damaged areas that he went so deep he damaged the mucousa. I’m a nurse and gave my career to caring for people… it’s very ironic that a doctor should have destroyed my face. The medical profession is one that I love and believe in. I guess there are monsters hiding in plain sight everywhere.
He literally said and his website said incisions are virtually invisible. Of course I asked. And stated wearing a pony tail is of upmost importance. He said no problem

I guess if you were in our situation you would unhappy as well. We all know theirs risks but for being the top doctors as he says he is.., you expect that he would go above and beyond instead of doing bad work.
Yes. He is a horrible human being and surgeon. There are so many women reaching out to me now with similar experiences. He uses the “if you were my family/sister/mother” line when recommending procedures. Than once he takes your money, rushes through procedures, he leaves you to deal with the poor outcomes on your own. I knew I was screwed when I heard him in a heated argument with another patient in the room next to mine during a post op.
