It's so weird seeing myself with a new nose. Of course, it's still quite swollen and lacking definition in the tip, but I am very happy so far! I had the packing removed yesterday, however, I am still very congested. There is some dissolvable gel material slowly working its way out of my nose (gross!) and my surgeon instructed me to rinse my nose 5-7 times a day with saline and use Vaseline around the nostrils and incision.
He also explained that my nose would feel like "wood". Basically, it's very numb and doesn't feel like it's part of my face, so I should be careful not to bump into anything. By next week I will be able to go back to my normal activities. It will take many months for the swelling to resolve. I have a follow up with Dr. Lee on 3/15 to check in on my progress. I'll post updates then!

Some before/after pics
So far I am completely over the moon! It's a very subtle difference and I think most people won't be able to tell. My nose was more hooked from the side and front view was very crooked. Now it's exactly what I was hoping for and I am so excited to see how it looks once the swelling resolves!

Super swollen but here it is!
Just had the splint and packing off. My nose looks and feels like a balloon, but so far I think it's great!

Great feeling after the roller coaster before surgery isn't it? I was like a little kid on Christmas the second day after my cast came off. Now I think I've burnt myself out looking at myself. Lol

Absolutely! I have never been more excited. Can't believe I went through with it. Now I am glad I did something for me. My family has been very supportive as well. Here's to looking and feeling good!!

Same! I was so scared. I knew if I didn't do it I'd always wish I had. It was a very surreal experience.
