How it works
  • Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
  • This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.

Having a hysterectomy next week

I could use some good thoughts. After how my last surgery went and how I was treated by Dr. Cooper and Dr. Austen, I am more nervous than I should be. It is minimial invasive surgery so I expect the recovery will be much easier than the tummy tuck.

More pictures..

Pretty scary. I want to laugh and cry at the same time.

Update pictures

These pictures make me so sad. Did I really have a tummy tuck? At first I blame myself because of my swelling and large uterus. I don't know about that anymore. There is still so much skin and fat. It is ridiculous.

My surgeon was Dr. Cooper at Massachusetts General hospital. Dr. Cooper was nice during consult and post op visits. At 6 weeks post op, I noticed the excess skin above my incision line. When I asked Dr. Cooper what it was, he was evasive with his answer and told me to come back in 4 weeks. At 10 weeks post op, he told me I need a revision and also he was leaving the practice. My aftercare from Dr. Cooper was not good ever since the surgeon announced his departure. I am currently looking for a kind and caring surgeon at a new practice for tummy tuck revision and dog ear on one of my breasts.
