Drains out...dealing with frustrating itchiness

My drains came out on April 21st. It was a crazy day. I heard about Prince's passing when I got to my appt and was in a state of shock...I'm a huge fan :(...surgeon and I chatted about that for a bit. Drain removal wasn't as bad as I expected, but I had doubled up on my pain meds just in case. Glad to be free of those. My breasts have been healing great. I does seem like the incision on my right one is separated a bit. I really want these to heal with minimal scarring so I just grabbed some steri strips and put them on last night. I have another appt with my surgeon on May 6th so we will see how they look then. I'd like to start scar therapy as soon as possible...and not sure when that might be.
Now to the lipo - I have been dealing with insane itchiness since last week. I know this is a sign of healing but it's unbearable at times. I'm trying not to scratch but it's impossible. I'm grabbing my kids ice packs and rubbing them on my legs when I can. I helps! I'm wearing my compression garment daily and ordered a 'stage 2' from makemeheal.com that should arrive soon. I did buy a decent maidenform shapewear garment from JC Penny and wore this for a bit but the slit they have to use the bathroom is so much smaller that the ones on the surgical specific garments, i couldn't deal with it. Too many "accidents".

Pathology results for breast tissue back

Dr. Darrow called me this morning to inform that the results were back and all is normal :). Really appreciate his hands on care/follow up.
This morning I was able to snap a pic of my abdomen. It's obviously swollen still but I can definitely see that my C-Section pouch is leveled off. I can't wait to see the final result. Glad that I opted for lipo instead of TT...I feel it was the best procedure for my personal concerns. Still having quite a bit of discomfort but was reminded this morning that lipo recovery is 'active' and we can baby the areas just because we are sore. I have to suck it up and move and stretch everyday. Planning to look in to lymphatic massage near me pretty soon.
Wishing you all a great day and continued happy healing. Sharing pics of my go-to breakfast smoothie over the past cpl days. I froze a bunch of bananas and spinach before surgery...so glad i prepped for these!

Moving, moving ;) & swelling

Today was a better day. I left the house for the first time with my mother and went to Walmart to get more comfy post surgery bras. We went to two stores and even though I had been up and walking everyday around the house, I think walking more and at a faster pace got the pipes working again :). Very grateful to have turned that corner. When I got back, I quickly changed my bra, only to find out that the one I had on was stuck to one of my incisions! Ugh...it was a horrible feeling. I didn't pull it, but patiently added water to a paper towel to soften up the spot and gently remove it. The other day after my shower, I placed some paper in between me and the bra...so, i ended up with the bra and paper sticking to my incision which looked worse than it really was. Anyway, these bras are inexpensive and very comfortable. Now if I can just get rid of the drains, I'll be on the way to a much more comfortable recovery.
I didn't spend much time resting today and my legs are paying the price. My ankles are very swollen.
