Couple months later. Update!

It's been 4 months since I started my Invisalign journey. I'm honestly a little disappointed I haven't seen any real changes or improvements. I know it's kind of a long and slow process, but being about a quarter into my plan, I expected to see some changes by now.

I'm starting to think my two front teeth are moving in ways they aren't supposed to. They were pretty evenly aligned before I started this and now it seems like one is pushed back and the other is pushed forward. My bite and my jaw are still off, and my smile looks the same.

I'm meeting with my orthodontist two weeks from now where I will be getting my next few sets of trays, so I'm hoping she can give me some insight and relief to these concerns!

Any one else see changes 4 months in or am I just being impatient?

I seen changes in four months but mine are very obvious spacing changes as I have very overcrowded bottom teeth. I haven't noticed any real changes on top besides some small spaces and I'm almost seven months in. I'd ask yor ortho to go over the clincheck video with you to show you if your teeth are tracking the way they are supposed to and better explain the pattern of movement!? If they are tracking well, that might help you feel more positive! And there are always refinements if everything isn't perfect! A girl I work with was at the end of her Invisalign treatment and our ortho wasn't happy with the alignment so she's in for another round via refinements.

Tray 5 - no changes

ksl2008
It's been a few weeks since I last posted. Nothing really has changed. I still haven't noticed any major teeth movement. I just put in week 5 trays last night and only had some minor discomfort when I first put them in. My next orthodontist appointment is about a month away, where I will be getting a few more attachments.

I'm continuing to drink beer and iced coffee with my trays in. As you can see in the photo I posted, there is some staining on my old trays but I personally don't think it's too bad considering I drink iced coffee almost every day with those puppies in. I have a regular dental cleaning scheduled in a couple weeks. Fingers crossed I don't have any cavities.

Beer and Coffee.

ksl2008
I'm a week into my 2nd set of trays. Nothing to really update. I haven't noticed any significant changes in my teeth or their placement. My bite feels off when I take the trays out to eat, which is a given since my teeth are slowly moving. I'm used to the feel of the buttons now. They're still annoying but there's nothing I can do about that. Oh well.

Rule breaker: drink nothing but water with the trays in - oops. I'm guilty of drinking iced coffee through a straw once in a while. And drinking beer - more than just once in a while, with my trays on. I haven't had any serious staining of my trays or teeth. I'm always sure to have water with me when I drink iced coffee so I can swish some around after every few sips. When I'm out drinking I'll try to always have a glass of water with every drink so my teeth don't stain and BONUS! it keeps me hydrated, so I'm hardly ever hungover anymore. I make sure to brush my teeth as soon as possible after my coffee. Sometimes I'll go to the bathroom when I'm at the bar and rinse the trays out. I hate the feeling of having beer in between the trays. I'm still steering clear of dark liquor and darker drinks in general.

Picture quality isn't that great.

Glad I'm not the only one! I've had no problems with staining either.
