I'm 33 years old 5'2" and 103lbs and had been struggling with going through a breast augmentation for many years. I would go through moments where I was feeling ok with my itty bitty boobies (32a if that). But more days than not I would hate putting on one of my padded bra that I barely filled. I hated more than anything when I would lie on my back and my breasts would disappear.
One day I decided that I needed to at least talk to professionals and get there opinion and find out my options. I had scheduled three appointments all about a month apart. My first appointment was with Dr. Sean Doherty and he was so kind and just someone you instantly trust. After our initial consult I knew right there that I didn't need to talk to anyone else and that if I was going to go through with it, it would be with him. I called a few days later and scheduled my next appointment where he took some measurements and had a couple of sizers for me to try.
Dr. Doherty asked me what my expectations were, I wanted breasts that would fill out a shirt and a dress without all the padding, basically a large B/small C. He said I was being very realistic and it was not a problem. I had tried on a 250cc implant and he knew but observing it in my bra that it might be a bit big for me and make me look stretched out and unnatural. I trusted him completely and went with his suggestion of 225cc which he assured me would look fantastic and is really not much of a difference between 225cc and 250cc.
I set up my appointment and was given my pre/day of/post op instructions which he went over with me.
The night before the surgery Dr. Doherty called me to check in on me and make sure I didn't eat or drink anything after midnight. I thought that it was really wonderful that he personally called me and not one of the secretaries.
Day of I showed up early a bit nervous but really felt like this was the best decision I would ever make and I was right!! Right before the surgery the nurse, the anestologist and Dr. Doherty went over the procedure and what to expect post op.
Surgery was a success! My mother took me home and I followed all of his instructions to a T which made things easier and less painful. He actually called me that night to check in on me and gave me his personal cell phone number incase I had any problems or concerns. That meant a lot to me because typically surgeons usually refer you to their office line or whoever is on duty. He even called again a day before my follow up to check in on me.
I honestly can't praise Dr. Doherty enough. He is so kind and understanding, just an overall compassionate person! I feel so lucky to have met him and have him be the one to make me feel more complete in my own body!
I am over the moon happy with the results. I'm currently fitting into 32c gap bras and bikini shopping is so much fun now!!
I hope this helps anyone thinking about getting a breast augmentation and considering Dr. Doherty as their surgeon. You won't meet someone who cares more about you and your wellbeing than him and his staff. His secretary Robin is also just as wonderful and will help you with any questions you might have too.
