I Want to Define my Shape - Miami, FL

When I originally decided that I wanted to do this procedure I got a lot of backlash from family and friends because they felt that I don't need it, and some people even said that it's self hate. I found my self having to explain my decision to people because I desperately wanted to people to support me in my journey. Needless say I never got that support and as a result I never went for my surgery.

Fast forward 2 years I've decided to have an other go at it and this time I'm not looking for anyone's support. The truth is I don't hate my self nor my body, I'm not unhappy and I most certainly am not depressed. What I am however is human and just like every other human being on this planet there are some things about my self that I wish I could change. This is my personal journey it's something I feel that I need to do for my self. Follow me if you would like but please don't judge me.

Withing minutes of choosing Dr. Del Vecchio I'm thinking about choosing my mind. I read so crazy reviews on a different site and they were not very settling moreover the pictures on his website aren't very convincing and I feel like there are a lot of hidden fees. For example I was quoted a certain price but when I explained to the coordinator that some of the woman on the pictures that I see looked real petite and since I'm not petite I want to go bigger. I was told the procedure would be more money. I don't want to waste time or money I'm looking into other Dr. Any suggestions. I was looking at Dr. RGhurani in Miami Florida his reviews are nice his pricing is fair and I like his work so far. I will keep doing my research though this surgery is to important to me for me to trust just any one with it.

Hey doll, what I have learned over the years is that many people feel the same way that we feel. Unfortunately, they aren't strong enough mentally or financially stable enough to take the leap. In my opinion, those individuals become envious of us because we won't let them rain on our parades. You will be fine. This is a very nurturing community. So, don't worry...we're all in the same boat. Good luck and keep us posted! xoxo

Congratulations on choosing you and not needing someone else to co-sign. If you feel good about it, surround yourself with ppl who are positive and leave the haters no notes. :-) Dr. Del Vecchio is an excellent doctor. He takes his time to understand cultural beauty and he's got great credentials. I agree that the pics that he posts are usually immediately after surgery and not usually what it looks like days or weeks post-op, but his eye for shaping and contouring is excellent. Either way, choose your heart.

I've heard great about Dr. Del Vecchio but the negative things are unsettling. I'll keep doing my research though

Can you please send me pics of your results? How was your experience?

I just added pics on my profile tonight and updated my review. Check it out :-). There were minor hiccups, nothing major with staff. I still like my results. Especially in comparison to before pics

I love Dr. Ghurani / Word of wisdom

User Avatar

Ok So this morning I had a phone consultation with Dr. Ghurani who is in Miami. I love him I'm pretty sure I'm going to go with him. After speaking with him I would like to share some of the things he told me with the real self fam or any newbies considering this procedure.
1. Eating healthy, and exercising is very important (and don't ever let anyone tell you it's not). BBL surgery is not weigh loss surgery it is contouring surgery meaning that this surgery is meant to contour your body and make you have a better shape. If you are not eating right, exercising, or maintaining a healthy life style you are essentially doing nothing and you run the risk of gaining all the fat back in the wrong places. Also if you are over weigh plan to loose some weigh.
2. To the ladies who want a big bum... consider this. The fat that is being inserted into you bum is being inserted between your muscle and you skin and it does have a limit. If your surgeon over stretch your skin but inserting too much fat then those fat cells might die and you'll end up with with a deflated bum. You also run the risk of infection as well by stressing your body like that. So listen to your surgeon if they are telling you to be mindful of how many CC's they are inserting into your body.
3. Be prepared for recovery. Recovery takes 1- 3 months. For the first month you can't sit on your bum because you don't want to kill the fat cells I'm sure real self users have some real creative ways of dealing with that. If you are having your procedure out of state plan to be in that place for 10-12 days. Don't go alone the first 72 hours will be really hard and you will need assistance you so find a buddy.
4. DO YOUR RESEARCH.... I have seen and heard so many horror stories from other people it's scary. Although those story have not deterred me they have made me more cautions and picky. I don't care if you are paying 2,000 or 10,000 this procedure your life, your health, YOU are priceless so I beg you ladies don't risk it, if you feel like something is not right it's ok to back out and start over. YOUR LIFE IS WORTH MORE.

Any way that is all for now these words of wisdom where passed down to me from the good Dr. and I'm passing them to you. This was not verbatim but it's basically what I got from our conversation. Real Self fam what are your thoughts? Any thing to add? I'm interested to hear from you.
