HELP ME PICK A SURGEON!!!!

I have researched and flown in for 3 consultations
Georgia- Dr. Andrew Jimerson
New York- Dr. Matthew Schulman
Florida- Dr. Moises Salama.

Dr. Jimerson- Georgia

PROs
- LOVE THE WAY HE SHAPES HIS BOOTYS TO GIVE THEM THAT BUBBLE BUTT APPEAL
- He spent an hour and half in the consultation room asking so many questions and he was attentive to me.
- I loved seeing his post op patients in the waiting room with wonderful results and the BBL results from some of his staff, as well.
- The office was clean!
- He performs 10-15 of these surgeries a week!
- He is affiliated with Gold Platinum Care, which is a house that can take care of you post operatively if you are from out of town (rides to the airport, rides to surgery, meals, laundry, etc)
- His patient coordinator Valerie was such a love!

CONS
- I don't like the fact that he injects fat into 3 places on the side of your hip and directly in the center of each butt cheek. I am fearful that they will leave noticeable "scars" in such obvious places. Most doctors inject fat from the underneath where your thighs and butt meet at the crease and above where the two indents in your back at. Dr. Jimerson injects in these locations as well as 3 places on each hip and directly in the center of each butt cheek.
- I don’t like the reviews that stated all he cares about is money and not the patient. (I did not get that vibe at my almost 2 hour consultation, but that is scary to hear).

Dr. Schulman- New York

PROS
- He had a lot of awards for "Best Plastic Surgeon" in his office.
- He has been on E News and other television shows talking about his plastic surgery knowledge.
- He doesn't use drains post operatively

CONS
- His staff seemed slightly [RS bleep], granted they were all polite and accommodating, but I felt out of place in his office. I felt uncomfortable conveying the fact that I wanted a big booty.
- His fee's were the most pricey.
- He uses SMART lipo, which is less leaves less bruises and promotes quicker healing, but I do not feel that SMART lipo is able to fully sculpt and contour the body as precisely. I am looking for a fully defined hour glass figure with a bubble butt and not just some lipo to make me appear thinner with a butt thats "bigger" but not "shapely"

Dr. Salama- Florida

PROS
- His fee’s are less pricey
- He offer’s a package that includes a recovery house, lymphatic massages, etc which takes a lot of stress off of the out of town patient.
- His patient coordinators Cynthia and Nancy were wonderful to speak with.

CONS
- His office felt like a clinic or a nail salon. It did not have a sleek, cosmetically appealing vibe.
- I have read reviews of dissatisfactory where he has burned patient’s stomachs.
- I felt rushed because I knew how busy he was and how many back to back consults and post op visits he had. (Although he did take the time to listen to me, I did feel rushed.)
- His post op pictures from the patient’s on Real Self look scary with blood drenched ACE bandages and gauze. I fully understand that this is an invasive surgery, but those pictures looked barbaric.

All 3 believe in….
- intra operative antibiotics to prevent infection
- the surgery will take 2-3 hours
- the risk of getting a blood clot or a fat embolism is less than 1%
- using compression stockings intraoperatively to prevent blood clots
- not sitting right away and using a bobby pillow when you can finally sit
- using compression garments to decrease the risk of developing seromas
- will provide notes for the airline you are flying home with, in order to allow you to stand up for part of your flight.
- Use tumescent fluid during liposuction
- Stopping birth control before surgery to decrease the risk of blood clots
- They all require staying in town for 10 days before flying home.
- The fat is pure and will not turn into cellulite
- They all use general anesthesia in surgical centers/office operating rooms with an anesthesiologist present the entire time.
- They all believe that sitting kills fat cells because it does not allow adequate blood flow to the area when you first get this procedure done.

The differences in the 3….
- different forms of medical clearance before surgery (physical, blood work, EKG, etc)
- Dr. Salama and Dr. Schulman inject above and below the butt, Dr. Jimerson injects above, below, in the center, and on the sides of the hips.
- Dr. Salama and Dr. Jimerson use gravity to get the best fat to re-inject into the body, Dr. Schulman uses gravity and then spins the fat to get “the most pure fat”. Dr. Salama and Dr. Jimerson feel that spinning the fat manipulates the fat cells too much.
- Dr. Schulman is not a big fan of gaining a ton of weight before surgery because you are only born with a certain number of fat cells where as Dr. Jimerson believes in gaining 15-20lbs over a “normal body weight” I am 5’5” 133lb and he wanted me to be 150lbs
- Dr. Schulman uses no drains, Dr. Salama uses 2 JP drains one on the hip and one in the butt crack, Dr. Jimerson uses 1 JP drain in the butt crack.
- Dr. Jimerson and Dr. Salama believe in lymphatic massages to promote drainage, get rid of swelling from fluid, and to massage out scar tissue. Dr. Schulman does not.
- Dr. Salama uses power assisted liposuction, Dr. Schulman uses SMART lipo, and I cannot remember what Dr. Jimerson uses.
