Hello guys I have lost 6 kg already. 3 pre op and 3 after surgery.very excited but at times I feel really sick. Can anyone tell how do you realise when you are hungry.
I try and maintain a regular intervals between meals. But sometimes I start feeling sick and think of having a painkiller or go to the toilet thinking it might be gas. But in real I am hungry and when I drink something I feel better. I feel like being a baby now.crying all the time but can't tell what I want????

I am in Melbourne too and was wondering where did you get the surgery done? You are doing very well, thanks for sharing.

Happy Mother's Day to all lovely mothers. I am back home now. Made my own lentil soup and had it. Could not drink much but better the the hospital soups.Didnot have any painkillers. just want to try myself without one.weighed myself it's the same when I went to the hospital. I think it's the swelling due to the surgery . Let's see what happens next

Congratulations on getting sleeved and happy mother's day to you! It's a great step you have taken for yourself and for your daughter and I hope it will all go very well. I am almost one month post sleeve and though it hasn't always been smooth sailing, I can slip into things I couldn't get into before so it's getting exciting! :) My biggest tip for the first couple of weeks- stay hydrated! Keep sipping water. You don't want to get light headed. All the best!

Thank you so much for suggestion dear. Congratulation to you too for a big achievement. I think first month is the hardest to pass on. Hopefully it passes on quickly for me with no added complication. I will stick to your advice for the water. Thank you so much for your advice once again.
Can I ask you for how long were you on painkillers?
I don't feel pain as it is now. Is just moving causes trouble. Getting out of bed or sitting on a chair hurts me quite often. I have drone swelling on the incisions as well. Do you think I should keep taking the painkillers for that or shall I skip it and see how I go? The painkillers makes the taste of my mouth awful.

I was rather 'gangsta' about painkillers to be honest. I stopped taking them the following day. I wasn't in severe pain though & I preferred to feel the discomfort so I could really be in touch with my body. I moved gingerly for awhile so there were those moments but like I said I preferred it to being numb. If you can manage it, you can wean yourself off the pain killers but please DON'T SUFFER! If you find the pain distracting or awful take them! It won't be for long anyhow... as you heal, the pain will definitely subside...

Lucky me... Going home tomorrow. Pain is settling as well. Still of painkillers and nausea medication. But much better. Nothing better than going home.
