The last 12 months of my life have been really tough for me on every level and even though I couldn't afford it I woke one morning in April this year and decided 'I'm going to do this for me'. The surgeon I had was recommended to me by my skin doctor back in 2012. I saw the surgeon in 2012 but never did anything about it. I had a continuing internal battle re 'can I afford it', 'am I being vain', 'beauty is only skin deep' etc etc. I looked well and attractive but felt my eyes were dragging me down. My upper eyelids were beginning to droop and the skin under my eye was becoming saggy. When I phoned the practice to get an updated price I thought I would have to wait several months for the procedure but as it happened he had a cancellation on May 30 so I jumped at it. I'm really pleased that I went ahead with it. My surgeon was amazing. Considerate, respectful, gentle and even phoned me daily after the procedure to check how I was going. My eyes look great. He did a fantastic job. No-one notices what I've done but everyone tells me I look really well and younger. I had the procedure because I wanted to look the best I could at my age and I also looked at it as a symbolic gesture ie that I would view the future with fresh eyes :)

Congratulations for going ahead with this procedure. I love your phrase "viewing the future with fresh eyes". Do you have any before / after photos you would be willing to share?
