I couldn't be happier with the care I received...

WORTH IT$22,000
I couldn't be happier with the care I received from Dr Nettle and his lovely team, especially Elise and Michelle. As a nervous newcomer to plastic surgery, I researched/procrastinated for seven years before going ahead with the SMAS facelift. I consulted five well-regarded surgeons and chose Dr Nettle because he is a specialist in this procedure who gets great, natural-looking results. As an added bonus, he is very nice and has a friendly, caring, and professional staff. A facelift is a significant operation and it takes weeks (in my case about six, but it varies) before you look good. However, I haven't had a moment's regret (even though my swelling was quite bad) because I had complete confidence in Dr Nettle.

Thank you so much for sharing your opinion about your doctor.

I would love to add your experience to the Facelift community, but it would be helpful if you could provide some more detail about your experience with your procedure/treatment. This will mean we can add your review to the topic and it will bring more people to your page, giving you more support. I suggest adding before and after photos - optional of course - so that other community members can use your review as a guide throughout their journey.

Would love to see before and after pics.?
Hello
I am scheduled to see Dr Nettle early next year for facelift. Is it possible to post before and after pics, or privately email if you prefer.
Hi Chrissy - Yes, I will gladly email you my before and afters but I prefer not to post them publicly as most of my friends don't know about the facelift. As my email address contains my full name, I don't post that either. But if you let me know your email I will send you some pics! Rest assured you have made the right choice with Dr Nettle. I did my research and I think he is the best in Australia. The recovery time was more than I expected - it looked good within about 4 weeks but felt tight for several months (and can still get a bit tight after six months if I overdo the salt or exercise) but it was definitely worth it. I now go out every day feeling confident rather than dispirited about how I look.

My email address is *********@gmail.com. So you think 4 weeks off work is a must? Thanks Dee62.

Hi Dee ,
I was thinking of booking with Jeremy hunt , but now wondering if I should consider Dr nettle .
I understand your sensitivity re photos as I am a high profile woman where I live .
Also my name is in my email and it is very unusual .
If you would not mind emailing photos that would be very helpful.
I am getting married next September and wanted to have it done prior how many months do you think you would have allowed had you been in that situation .

Truly appreciate any help you can share .

Hi Dee, could you tell us about the scars in front of the ear and in the hairline please? Are they noticeable?
Hi Aquarius
One reason I chose Dr Nettle is that he places the incisions within or close to your ear so that they can easily be hidden by your hair. I was also worried about scars as I have olive skin that scars badly but it has really been a non-issue (swelling is the real issue!!). The only visible scars are the ones along the ridge of the ear and the one under your chin - these were easily covered with make-up after a few weeks and now, six months later, they are barely perceptible. Some scars are hidden behind the ear and under the hair, but there is no disruption to your hairline. Hope this helps. D
Thank you so much for replying Dee. So now 6 months later, can you see any scars from looking at your profile with your hair tied back? I love tying my hair back and am wondering if I'd ever be able to do that again after a facelift. Interesting about the swelling. I'm sure I'd be the same. If you could advise the ultimate minimum number of weeks to take before returning to your work, what would you advise? Did he do any fat filler in your cheeks? Thanks heaps Dee!
By the way, did you ever investigate the DEEP PLANE FACELIFT with Dr Marcells, by any chance? If so, what were your thoughts?
Hi Aquarius
I advise 6 weeks off work though I realise that might be hard to do. Four weeks at an absolute minimum. Yes, I did have a fat transfer and it looks good. After nine months the scars on my face are barely perceptible. No need to cover with makeup. Not sure about the scars behind my ears as I can't see them. They still feel fairly lumpy to be honest but that might be because the wounds got infected when I picked at the stitches. Note - don't do that!! I do wear my hair up but in a fairly low pony that covers the back of my ears, if that makes sense. Good luck - feel free to contact me if you have more questions
Dee
No, I didn't follow-up on the deep plane facelift. I think it is more of an option for older women with a lot of droop
This is my greatest worry, the scars!
