Hi all , after weeks of countless calls and reading reviews I've booked in with Dr Mooney. My first preference was Dr Shahidi but I was quoted 16 thousand and tonne honest my nose isn't even that bad. I just found $16000 too much . I've booked my consult with Dr Mooney and am just after some positive reviews - everyone seems to be really negative ! Also some info on how much over all cost was paid by anyone who had rhino and any other details ? Any help is appreciated !!!!

Mooney is the best. You wont regret it. Just as expensive as Shahidi is (probably more) but its your face...dont skimp on the cost of your face if its worth it!!!!
I'm happy with my revision 12 months on. Dr.Mooney does a lot of noses. More than anyone in Australia I've been told. It makes sense when you do a lot that a percentage aren't happy & they're probably more likely to post bad reviews. You have to go with who your comfortable with but results are not something you can select from a catalogue & he does tend to be less guided by you than his own aesthetic opinion but I was happy with that because I trusted him
I suppose my surgery with Dr Mooney was more with functionality in mind. The first surgery was a game changer in terms of functionality. The appearance was improved. The revision 10 years on he performed free as I was having an eye lift at the same time. I needed more sinus cleaning. Again the functionality was vastly improved and cosmetically I'm very happy. It looks natural. My nose was very messed up after breaking when I was young and my sinuses a mess after years of allergies. The surgeries were necessary for me and cosmetically a huge improvement over the crooked mess I had. I had no complications and my nose functions and looks good I'm happy.
This guy is an absolute sociopath. He claims to do the highest number of nose jobs in Australia, he only cares about money and big noting himself. He has all kinds of conditions on his license as he has recently lost two patients during routine procedures. I went to him a few years ago and regret it my breathing is terrible. He was rude, arrogant and more concerned with what he was doing on the weekend than my health. He also was a giant sleeve. Stay clear. Hideous person, horrific doctor. Should be struck off and maybe by the sounds of it. He isn’t allowed to operate at st Vincent’s bc of his previous behaviour.
Hi anonymous. I had my surgery with him in StVincents last year in March. Where is your information coming from? It sounds shocking if it's true!
Thank you for being honest.
My sinus surgery results have been excellent however and enabled me to breathe through my nose for the first time in my life.
The cost of my original surgery was around $16k.
I was also charged some type of fee, possibly for the anaesthetist and hospital for the revision rhinoplasty nightmare.
Dr Mooney has a friendly approach and can be humorous. His appointments are extremely rushed and much too short (under 3minutes at a time) to provide an opportunity to properly discuss procedures and concerns. Despite arriving prior to my booked appointment time it was common to have to wait up to two hours to actually go in to see him.
At some stage I will need to have the cartilage issue addressed. I would be too terrified to allow another surgeon to ever operate on my nose again, and certainly not Dr Mooney.
I wish it were possible to re-grow my original nose length and shape.
