Pre Op TODAY! BREAST REDUCTION 34HH - 37year old female

I am having my preop today at 3pm- I think its a case of taking bloods etc and getting more info and paying I need yo arrange today asap the BMI 0% credit card I totally forgot so as it stands I have no way to pay unless I pop it on a standard credit card. Oops. It will be sorted though!
Work initially said I would have sickpay as get a sicknote for the 2 weeks I have planned off. Now they are saying that I won't get paid sick and will habe to take leave. I am a bit annoyed but hey ho nothing will stop me!
I will update later about what happened at todays preop. I will probably go and buy my ASDA cotton wire free bras today!
Also on a seperate note, I have been chatting with a lovely guy from POF (internet dating) and he has rang me 2 nights in a row amd we have had lovely texts and I am meeting him on Snday. So excited because usually I don't want to get naked lol apart from a one night stand 2months ago it was 2.5yrs since my laat intimate encounter and ages before then.. I separated from ex hub 4.5 yrs ago!

I have wanted something doing with my breasts for...

I have wanted something doing with my breasts for years, but I never knew what the answer was or had the confidence to look into it. I always thought 'surgery is for the privileged'.

At school I always felt my boobs were big and never quite looked like all the other girls boobs.. boyfriends however seemed to love them. I guess they were quite perky but I always wanted smaller boobs with my nipple much higher!

I had boyfriends and got married and had a child. Even on my wedding night I wished they were smaller (not that my ex husband bothered he loved them pmsl). I was also the slimmest I have been (11stone 4lbs) and at 5'10 that made me very slim and I was exercising a lot. I think back then I was a 30H/32G but given they weren't that pert I still found they ruled my life.. nipples were low, couldn't wear strapless bra/clothes, no clothes fit, grooves on shoulders, big bra straps, unsightly when topless, sweaty blah blah blah

Then fast forward 1m after the wedding I was pregnant. And I didnt stop eating ???? Not sure how much weight I put on (probs a good 2 stone) but not only that my boobs went mahoooosive (36J). I then struggled even more but being preggers it was all comfy, roomy and tenty clothes. I breastfed for 6 months (well, I actually expressed as he wouldn't take the boob) then my boobs dropped. And life hasnt quite been the same since ????

Fast forward 2years after a messy divorce & two 'custody battles' - my boobs have not been a priority and if I am being honest, bar a few one night stands a year after we split, its been 2.5 years since my last encounter with a man ???? not strictly true as in April 2016 I had a brief encounter and I felt so confident in my bra.. but then he got my boob out then bamm my confidence went (not that he was bothered as he was nestling his head in there ????) but seriously it was at that point I decided that I AM having surgery. I found this site - and voilla - here I am!

How did I go about surgery?
Well, I asked on facebook for peoples experiences and recommendations about breast reductions (I have a big following as I have online businessess). Turns out a few of my friends had it done and either they recomended their surgeon or their friends who had had it done. Also, a friend in her late 40's was having it done 2 weeks later so perfect timing. I have seen her before/after pics and although I haven't picked her surgeon its in the same hospital. I have had a lot of virtual contact with her she said "get them done now, it's life changing and I wished that I had them done in my 30's"

How did I choose?
Well I had one consultantation with Mr Murphy at Spire in Didsbury as he was highly recommended. He was very charming amd charismatic and I was happy with the appt to book even after one consult. However the price was £7700 - so a good £2k more than I had budgeted. Nevertheless I wasn't going to just let price put me off and I did have another appt booked for 2 weeks later with a different surgeon as was told to have at least 2 appts with different surgeons to give you a whole experience.

I then went to see Mr Irfan Khan at the Beaumont in Bolton. He was lovely, like a cuddly dad ???? There was a female nurse present too she was lovely and I hope she will be looking after me (there wasn't a nurse present at the Spire not that I was bothered) she put my mind at rest as it's quite embarrassing wapping out your boobs to a stranger ???? anyway he stood me in front of the mirror, stood behind me and gently twisted my boob to show where the new position would be (gosh it sounds like an erotic novel doesn't it - but it definitely was clinical nothing sexual haah!).

So I booked! Total costs is £5500 for the surgery, my stay in Beaumont (1 night) and all after care including if I need to go back into theatre or if need a "tuck" (which is sometimes bits of skin that sort of bobble on the skin and can easily be removed under just a local anesthetic).

So.. all booked for Sat 29th July 2017 with my preop booked for Fri 7th July 2017. And I have another appt with my surgeon on 15th June 2017. He insisted on this because I booked in April he wantwd to make sure I have any questions before the preop and is also included in the costs!

I booked the op for 3m after my appt because my son will be with father for 2 weeks in the hols so I felt this was fairest to him and means I don't have to think too much during my recovery. My dad is flying over from spain to look after me (good excuse for him as he hates the sun lol ????).

I have 2 weeks off sick planned and then 3 weeks pre-approved leave so in all 5 weeks off can't bloody wait ????????????

So. Thats it for now. I hope this helps and if you want any more info just comment and I will add to this blog as and when I can and I will start to add pics soon. I would love to hear from people who have used the Beaumont hospital and in particular my surgeon Mr Irfan Khan.

Take care!
