Hi, I am from Melbourne (Australia) and I had rhinoplasty 24 years ago in Europe when I was 22. When I first took the cast off it looked ok just swollen but then, I think it was my mistake, I slept on the side and I ruined everything resulting in a crooked nose. I was in a shock when I saw my asymmetric nose so I went back to the surgeon who put a cast only on one side to help it straightening it and re position it. The result after all that nightmare is that I have still a crooked nose, a few indentations and a cartilage hump on my tip. "Very bad". The result changed my self esteem and my personality so much that i don't trust any surgeon, or rather I am too scared to trust the surgeons. However, after 24 years since surgery I came across this website and I would like to know if there is any chance to improve my nose. I would like to know people from Australia that have been to USA and have experienced revision rhinoplasty in the USA. some researches brought me to take into consideration Dr. Franker or Dr. Hamilton both from Los Angeles. Can anyone give me some help about considering a revision. Anyone flown to the USA for a revision rhinolplasty? Thank you for your help for now.

Hi I would be interested to hear how your research goes as I am also living in Australia but looking to travel to the US for a revision.
Hi i ve come to know also dr davis from miramar fl, dr toriumi from chicago, dr calvert from LA. At the moment still looking. Need to save at least 50,000$ as it costs a lot to have surgery in the usa. Do you need revision? Have you consulted with some surgeons?
Hi, yes I need a revision. I have consulted with several surgeons in the usa and need to narrow it down. I am going to travel to LA early next year and have an in person consult and then make a decision.. The ones I have consulted with were around $20k for the surgery.
Hi, Can I ask you who you consulted with? I really like Dr. Davis photos, Frankel, Hamilton, Calvert...at the moment my top short list would be Frankel and Davis (from Miramar FL). Look forward to your comments.
Hi yes sure, Dr Talei & Dr Swartout. Both are really lovely. I did send some photos for review to Frankel and he said he could make some changes but I decided not to go with him. Am also considering Dr Most as he is meant to be good.
Hi silva1970 you've listed some good surgeons there. I am from South Australia and am also considering going to the US for a revision. I feel your pain. Its terrible that so many of us are going through this. My journey started in 2003 so my story has also been dragging on for some time. I am considering Dr David W Kim in San Francisco or Dr Lucian Ion in London. Have you heard of these drs?
hi babe. not seeing your nose it is difficult but, i like hamilton and dr. yoo in los angeles, dr. kassir in new jersey does nice shapes---kim patrick murray is a new doctor with lovely results. I like dr. davis for his kindness and he can sometimes get you back to close to the original shape but the waiting list is so very long and i just wasn't sure i could wait that long without going more mental. i, think you need to find someone who will not over-graft the nose and will give it a feminine shape. make sure they are plastic surgeons as well, not just an ent. i wish you luck! dr. ion in england is fantastic and does really nice work. i have heard wonderful things about dr. kim as well, but am not as familiar with his work.
Hi there! Have you made any decisions on who you'll choose to do your revision? I had my revision with Frankel and I was extremely disappointed. The bad results from him have been truly devastating. If you consider him please research him more and try to talk to as many of his patients as possible. Some names to consider: Dr Lamperti, Dr David Kim, Dr, Yoo, Dr Hamilton, Dr Le, Dr Ion.
Hi, thank you for your note. I hve not decided yet. I am considering Dr. Richard Davis but the surgeons you wrote down are good too. How is it going with your nose?
I'm still devastated by what Frankel did to me. Hoping to have a revision by a DIFFERENT surgeon by summer. No surgery booked yet though, still researching and doing consultations. All the best to you!

Sorry not going to share photos. My nose is way to wide now and nostrils are very uneven.
