Nonsurgical Mommy Makeover - BreastTite, BodyTite, Lipo, Morpheus

41 year old mom of two. I'm down to pretty much my ideal weight and healthy lifestyle but I'm not happy with the laxity of my stomach. Also, my breasts are a bit droopier than I'd like.

For the past two years, I've done consultations and explored my options. I decided that I did not want to pursue any surgical options. I scar badly - scars stay deep and heal slowly on me. I also did not want to go through the recovery process associated with more invasive procedures. So I decided on BodyTite and BreastTite. I accept that I'll have more modest results, especially with BreastTite, which is really a wildcard here.

I had the procedure done on Feb. 29th - BodyTite and Morpheus8 to the breasts and abdomen and a small amount of liposuction to the lower abdomen. I went under general anesthesia, which I was not so keen on at first but I'm glad I did after reading so many reviews about how badly Morpheus8 can hurt. The entire procedure took about one hour, maybe 90 minutes.

I went to a well known triple board certified plastic surgeon in the area. I had my concerns - not all of his reviews were great, though most were. I'm also just a nervous nelly. I questioned this procedure and my choice of doctor all along the way! However, so far, I feel good with my decision, although this doctor is a bit more hands off than other doctors I've consulted with. All of my consult was done virtually, for example. I didn't meet him until the day of the procedure. Because I'd met with other doctors in person and they thought I was a good candidate for these procedures (esp the BreastTite), I felt comfortable with this. However, if this were the only doctor I'd seen, it's possible I could have had a treatment without ensuring I was actually a good candidate.

I'm the first day post-procedure.

The day of, I was tender, of course but nothing the pain medicine couldn't handle (acetaminophen + codeine 4). Before I took the pain meds, it felt like I had a really bad sunburn and a tight shirt - ouch! I was largely incapable of doing much other than laying in bed. Even shifting and getting up to go to the bathroom required help from my husband. When I stood up, my chest area was sore because although my breasts were wrapped, I didn't have any support. So I put a post-surgical bra on over the wrap and it felt much, much better.

Overnight, I was able to get up myself, very carefully to go to the bathroom. I did not take pain meds overnight and slept ok.

Now it's the first day pre-op. I feel pretty good. I took a walk this morning and this afternoon. I have greater range of mobility. I have a desk job - if I needed to, I could have gone to work (although the surgical wrap is a bit annoying to sit with). I have not yet taken off my bandages - the doc said I could at 24 hours but I see online many docs say 48 hours, so I'm going to be more conservative because I really want this to work.

I'll add updates tomorrow when I take my bandages off. I bruise incredibly easily (for this reason I've been taking Arnica and Bromein for a few days) so I'm expecting the worst, knowing it will heal. I also have a lot of swelling just above my mons pubis - totally normal because of gravity and it's not compressed.

36 Hours Later

I took my bandages off last night after all - I wanted to rewrap and add Bacitracin. This morning, about 36 hours post op, I took a shower. The shower was scary! I kept my back to the water and let it flow over my front instead of letting the water directly hit me. It may be all in my mind. I'm tender but not THAT tender.

I'm swollen and somewhat bruised but it's not as bad as I thought it would be. I'm a little itchy on my chest, but not too bad. I put Aquaphor and Bacitracin on, as well as Arnica on the bruises. I also put a little hyaluronic acid on my chest to see how it does. So far, so good. Still feeling great, took another walk this morning. I'm eating well with lots of fruits and veggies and little salt and drinking water.

I'm hoping the Morpheus clears up. There are many good reviews of Morpheus but also many where the tracks didn't heal properly!

3 days post - healing but weird Morpheus scratches

MichiganMama123
Day 3- I'm healing! I was a bit worried comparing my pictures to others but I have to realize I'm a bad bruiser and a slow healer. It is what it is!

I gave myself some lymphatic massages after I got out of the shower. Everything feels okay. My worry is the Morpheus and making sure that heals properly. The Morpheus marks are healing just fine - no raised welts or patches. However, I'm concerned about all the scratches. What's up with that? I've never seen scratches like that on others. They are healing but still. I'll ask my doctor about it at my check up.

Do you have any more updates. I'm having the exact same procedures as you. How are you feeling and how is swelling and bruising now?

I will add an update as I'm just coming up on two weeks. I'm healing slowly which is typical for me but I'm really happy with how it's turning out!

So happy for you and glad to hear you're happy with how your results are looking. I'm a slow healer as well so trying to get an idea of what I have to look forward to, so thank you for your response. I have my procedure on April 4th. Very excited, yet nervous for the healing process!!

I'm thinking of getting bodytite for upper and lower abs. I had lipo a few years ago and still have a c section shelf and when I sit down, I look like a sharpie dog with big rolls which I didn't have prior to lipo. I know you are supposed to have some skin folds when sitting but was wondering if you had them and if bodytite made them less pronounced? I'm close to 50 so unsure.

I didn't have those and it's too early to tell the effects of BodyTite quite yet. However, I don't think you get results that dramatic from BodyTite (marketing be damned lol!). For that, I'd imagine you'd have to start considering a tummy tuck but I'm not a doctor, just someone who's researched this a lot. I will say, there are some doctors who have really perfected the tummy tuck to minimize scarring and downtime, so I wouldn't take it off the table if I were anyone else. As for me, I just recover so slowly and, with two pretty young kids, I just don't have a lifestyle where I feel like I can commit to the recovery. I'd be doing too much and would likely compromise my results.

One thing I've learned is with these minimally invasive technologies, you are relying on the body to respond properly. And who knows how and whether it will; it's out of our control. With a surgery, the doctor is more in control and results are more able to be predicted. Just my two cents!
