Just Got Bodytite on Abdomen

5 1/2 months post Bodytite!

Hi all

I’m nearly at my 6 month mark after the procedure when I should see final results. As you can see there is a slight difference before and after, especially on the top of the abdomen. However I was told during consultation that I could get a flat stomach and as you can see I still very much have a protrusion at the bottom. I wouldn’t have paid all that money if I’d have known this would remain the same so I’m really unhappy with it. The scarring isn’t great either even though I’ve been using oil every day.

I saw the surgeon again who did some tests and said there was some change in fat levels...which I don’t deny but it’s still not the ‘after’ I was expecting or led to believe I could achieve. I will go back in a few weeks for my final check up and he said if I’m still unhappy he could maybe take more out- even if he does agree to this though I’m not sure I trust him to do it again when the first round ended up like this. I don’t want to go through all that pain and recovery again and more scarring for no real results.

He also said he thought I was bloated and that’s what’s causing the protrusion and then tried to sell me a food intolerance test so I am not sure about that to be honest. I’m sure I am a little bloated but I can also feel I have leftover fat so I just don’t think he took enough out.

I have a second opinion with another doctor in a few weeks so I will make a decision after that. I don’t want to have to pay again but I would rather be happy with my results!

RUDE!!!
Fat pouches aren't due to posture.
I see a very noticeable difference in your before and after pics. I think it looks great.
Thank you! They’re not the results I personally was after but appreciate your comment :)
Have you had children? I see some fat loss, but it looks more like you have diastis recti and that is why you cannot get the perfectly flat tummy. If you haven't had kids maybe you just have weak core muscles. Go on Instagram and type in #diastisrecti so many trainers that can help. YouTube how to tell if you have diastis recti. Your stomach looks mine and as Most Mim's we gave it to some degree. Some Mom's get a tummy tuck with muscle repair.

3 months post Bodytite...still no results!

Hi all

Unfortunately still not seeing any change in the pouch on my lower abdomen...measurements haven’t changed either so I know there’s no improvement! Thought I’d post an update anyway.

I saw the doctor a couple of weeks ago...he was nearly an hour late seeing me so I only got about 10 minutes with him. He took some pictures and seems to think there is some difference. He said that he’s taken out all the fat it was possible to remove, but in my pictures I feel like it’s pretty obvious that’s not true. Then he said I need to wait for another 3 months and I’ll start seeing the tightening effect (again not sure how this affects the flat stomach I was advised I could get- although he started back tracking on that and said that was never a guarantee which is frustrating as that’s not what I understood from my consultation). So I guess I’ll have to wait and see. I just feel like the goalposts keep moving in terms of timeframes. He’s asked me to go back in other 2 months to check in.

He said he would take more out if I still wasn’t happy at the 6 month mark, so it’s good to know he’s open to a revision, but if he took all fat out as he claims then not sure how any more will come out in another 3 months! I just don’t see my results changing it’s really disheartening after spending so much money :( plus I don’t want to go through the surgery and recovery again. I think I will get a second opinion from another doctor to see if there’s anything anyone can do. But I don’t want to pay again :( really disapppointed with the aftercare from this place and right now I wouldn’t advise anyone to go there for their surgery!

Also as a side note my scars still aren’t going away, my MLD therapist said her other clients don’t have as obvious scars so not sure what’s happened with mine although I’m putting Bio Oil on every night. If anyone has suggestions please let me know!

Thanks :)

I just want to encourage you. You look pretty thin pre-operatively. I think the fat you have is visceral fat and will respond to extreme exercise and diet. May be a blessing in disguise as aggressive Lipo can make your abdomen look like chewing gum.
Thanks for your comment! It’s just frustrating as if I was only going to get results with diet and exercise I wouldn’t have spent so much money on this :( but we’ll see! I’ve heard of ‘lipo tummy’ on some people so guess I’m lucky I don’t have that!
I think your skin texture looks better and you look better over all. Im starting to think you might need a tummy tuck, to tighten those muscles that seem to be bowing out. Congrats on your journey. You look great! :)
Thank you for your comment! I agree I’m thinking a tummy tuck would have been the only way to get the flat stomach I wanted. If I had been told beforehand that I’d still have this shape after surgery there’s no way I would have got this done so that’s why I’m annoyed; I feel like my expectations weren’t managed at all!
Tummy tuck with Bodytite probably... but ... you look great girl ... Keep eating lean and start lifting weights... weighted abs most days... You will see that pooch go away and your body will gain muscle.... ;)
Just don’t know if I could go through with a tummy tuck
I see an improvement! I wouldn’t mess with taking more out if he says he’s reached a limit. You can always take more out but it won’t be a good result. It doesn’t come out uniformly. Google that American Pie actress’s lipo fail to see what I mean (sorry I forget her name). It could leave you with hideous indents that will be nearly impossible to fix!
Oh god just googled her, not good :( I do think there’s more he could take out though just feeling how much fat there is left on my stomach! But I also don’t want to look deformed either- at least atm I don’t have any lumps etc that seem to be common with some lipo procedures. I will see what it looks like at 6 months and then decide. I may get a second professional opinion in the meantime just to see :)

2 months post Bodytite

Hi everyone
So this is me 2 months out and still so disappointed with the results! I’d like to think it’s getting a little better but I still don’t have a flat stomach and have that pouch at the bottom. I just don’t see it ever going away which is really disheartening. I’m booking in to see the surgeon soon to discuss my concerns. I wish I’d got Vaser! So frustrated :( a very expensive mistake haha. Maybe I’m still swollen but not expecting to see dramatic results anymore. Not really sure where to go from here, do I ask for a revision surgery or refund etc?!
Hope this helps other people looking into Bodytite and sorry it’s not more positive news!
Thanks :)

actually you look great.... you need to consider your total body shape . your stocmach curves but is relative flat ...relative to your shape ...you have a curved back .... your waist etc is perfect .
Thank you so much for your comment! :) you’re right I guess everyone will look different based on their body shape I was just really expecting a completely flat stomach so I keep comparing my current state to what I had in my mind before the surgery. Hard not to compare yourself to other people’s after pics too! Thanks again :) x
I also think the improvement is dramatic. Your pooch is gone and now you still have a little curviness and a little fullness but not a pooch. Be careful of repeating a liposuction in an area. When too much fat is removed you have a whole new more expensive problem. Your doctor did a good job of smoothing out the contour while leaving the all important smoothing subcutaneous fat in place under the skin. Also, when lipo is repeated the earlier there is more likelihood of uneven results. This is what doctors have told me. Something to do w scar tissue from the first time.
Thank you for your comment! Maybe I just can’t see it, I think because none of my clothes fit differently I’m just disappointed as it’s not the results I had in mind and when comparing to others’ ‘after’ photos. Hmm that’s concerning about repeating a procedure, I really don’t want to have to but I don’t want to pay for what I already have as it’s not what I wanted at all - I don’t know what to do for the best atm! I have my follow up booked with my surgeon in 2 weeks so will see what he says. Thanks again :)
Hi there, thank you so much for your comment!! That makes me feel so much better and makes sense with radio frequency taking longer. I was told 6 months for final results but that I’d see 90% of the results at 3 months, which is worrying as I’m nearly there and no real results as of yet. I feel like my expectations weren’t really managed as I was expecting much more dramatic changes and I think I would’ve been better suited to Vaser!
Ah really, that does make me feel SO much better! Thank you so much for commenting and letting me know :) I’m excited to see what the changes are over the next few months and I’ll keep posting. I think because I’ve seen so many before and after pics where people have a flat stomach after a month I expected that for myself!
You look great!
How was the recovery if you don't mind me asking? and do you have to wear compressor garment?
Ah thank you! The recovery was pretty brutal the first few days in all honesty after the painkillers wear off. It was hard to get up from a chair or the bed, or sit down to go to the loo! That feeling lasted a couple of weeks, like a dull ache. I still sometimes get twinges like a burning pins and needles sensation (that’s actually not as bad as it sounds!). I had to wear a compression garment 24 hours a day, for 3 weeks. Then 12 hours a day, for another 3 weeks. I tried to wear it more than that though as it helps with swelling and it’s actually more comfortable wearing it than not. Buy two so you have one spare! This all sounds horrible but it’s less worse than I’m making it seem as you do just get on with it! It would be worth it if you see results (which unfortunately I’m still not). The first few days are the worst as I did find it painful. Are you planning on getting it done then? Ask me anything you want if so :) x
