Journey continued. After almost 200 lb weight loss - now time to address the Skin

JourneyContinued
WORTH IT$14,000
Through Diet and exercise and a lifestyle change concept I lost almost 200 lbs.
What I gained was living life instead of hiding in the shadows.
What I see often times is the skin. My constant reminder. People say “it is your battle scars” but I am now 6 yrs into my new lifestyle and I am tired of seeing these battle scars.
I have been working hard as “bleep” to tone- but skin will not tone so I have decided - skin surgery is my next step
First up Body Lift. Scheduled 7/10/2018

Hi! I’m scrimping and saving for mine. Thank you for sharing your journey. I can’t wait to follow your progress. I’m in a similar spot after losing 170 lbs. I hide the skin very well, but it’s always there and I’m ready to leave that behind. Good luck!!

Thanks so much -- glad this may help someone -- I know I researched and learned so much from those here who have one through it - which is why I decided to write -- now that I know someone is reading I will be as detailed as possible --

CONGRATS on your major accomplishment -- WAY TO TAKE YOUR LIFE BACK -- I also hid the skin well, but cant hid when naked as a jay bird - lol

and part of my ability to afford was utilizing a NEW 0% interest credit card for 15 months -- part was paid via saved amount and the rest I have 15 months to pay off before interest - and yes that will happen cause I will - assuming this is successful - be getting more skin surgery

That’s interesting! Is it a medical credit card?? My doctors office sent me home with 2 they recommend
June 28, 2018
No I was approved also for a medical one but it was a 12 mo interest free - so I applied also for the 15 mo bank credit card and voila. Now I have the other “approved” for my next round assuming this goes well. Unless I find another 15 month 0% interest. I will try to have it paid off in 12 but the extra 3 months will be nice and IF something goes slightly off and the cost is more than initially planed I have time and available credit

Well I am super excited for you and can’t wait to see your results!!

Thanks - you will be writing your review in no time. Love this venue to share. It helps both to read others and document our own path Kinda like a pay it forward kinda thing.

Consulation Review

JourneyContinued
Going back in time a moment

Finally decided to get a consultation scheduled -- OMG this Dr is so booked - no consultation appointments open until June - breath I tell myself .... I asked if they had a cancellation to call - they said they do not leave a message and to save their number in phone and should an appointment open they will call in order of those on list....I GOT THE CALL -- This was way back in April -- Dr Reath was awesome - personable - caring even - seemed knowledgeable - was not a commugeon - (had a good witty personality not a stick in the mud) - said I should take time and think about it .... next day I called, made my down payment and was placed on the schedule - JULY 10th, 2018 --- okay now to figure the financing part

Smoking .........

JourneyContinued
(Past Update to catch up to today...)

One of the things that Dr Reath said I MUST do is quit smoking - this was not optional. Now I honestly had thought about quitting but as in weight loss my WHY had to be BIG enough and my Mindset had to be ready.... He said I HAD to be smoke free 30 days before surgery. (he may have said 45 days - cant remember)

Anyway - So i said to myself - after this LAST carton I just bought is gone - COLD TURKEY am I

I looked into ecigs (since i had one but point of quitting is the nicotine and it had it in it - so no go)

May 2nd at 9:06 PM I finally ran out of smokes - And I have not had a cigarette since --- Whoop Whoop

OMG so many benefits to not smoking,,,,but this is not a venue for that topic unless someone asks questions - then I will be glad to answer
