Amazing Doctor, Team, Care and Experience – Would Highly Recommend

I chose to have a consultation with Dr Cardenas because she had excellent reviews and great before and after photos. I provided all my photographs and filled out the consultation form. The 35 minute audio file I received from Dr Cardenas was so detailed and she noticed things about my body that had never been picked up before. It was extensive and informative. I followed it up with a video consultation. After meeting Dr Cardenas I knew I wanted her to perform my surgery. She was so kind, knowledge and honest. Her focus is on creating a natural result that works with your body shape and that is what I wanted. Even though I was interested in a thigh lift she said she would not recommend that for me as I would no longer be in proportion and it is a difficult surgery to recover from. I chose to have a royal mid body lift, abdominal skin resection, abdominal muscle repair, buttocks and outer thigh lifts, liposuction and fat transfer to buttocks and hips.

The preparation for the surgery was excellent and very thorough, which made me feel that safety was a top priority. The communication from Dr Cardenas’s team throughout my whole journey was fantastic.

As I was travelling from the East Coast of Canada and had never been to Mexico before I was apprehensive. I didn’t need to be. All the travel arrangements were handled by Dr Cardenas’ team and everything went smoothly. My husband accompanied me and as we were travelling from so far we stayed at the Zen Recovery house for 2 nights before the operation. At the pre op consultation at Dr Cardenas office were made to feel so welcome. I decided the day before surgery to add the fleur de lis procedure. It was recommended to create a better result but there was no pressure at all.

The surgery went very well. The hospital – New City Hospital in Tijuana was state of the art, clean and amazing. I have lived in the UK and Canada and never seen a medical facility like it. My husband stayed overnight with me in my hospital room which was so nice.

I spent 9 nights after my operation at the Zen Recovery House. Having such dedicated and wonderful post operative care was one of the reasons I chose to go to Mexico for my surgery. The recovery house was wonderful. The nurses and staff were so caring and attentive. My pain was very well managed and it was great to have the assistance with showering. The environment was relaxing and the food was nutritious and delicious. Dr Cardenas visits her patients at the recovery house regularly which was lovely.

After returning home I have had 2 minor complications – fat necrosis (3 weeks post op) and incision opening (2 months post op). The communication and guidance relating to these issues from Dr Cardenas and her team was outstanding. Dr Cardenas gives you her cell phone number and is in regular contact to check in how things are progressing. What surgeons do that??

I am 4 months post op now. I am still healing but I am so impressed with the body that Dr Cardenas has given me. It is way beyond what I was expecting. My shape looks very natural and balanced. My incisions and new belly button look great. She is an incredibly skilled surgeon.

I am considering a face and neck lift and even though Tijuana is a long way away I will be definitely having my surgery with Dr Cardenas again. I would not choose another surgeon. I would 100% recommend Dr Cardenas her team and the Zen Recovery House – they all deserve a 5 star rating.
