How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

8 months post surgery for Lower Body Lift
Fr Dr Fisher's website: Technically speaking, there are some differences between a lower body lift and a belt lipectomy. The incision for a lower body lift is lower than that for a belt lipectomy and therefore has a better pull on the lateral thigh area. However, the higher incision for the belt lipectomy helps create a narrower waistline.
Personally, I choose the lower body lift incision as I believe there are more advantages to this incision than a higher one. These include:
1. The ability to auto-augment the buttocks (use your own fatty tissue to create a mound and augment the buttock)
2. Makes a rounder buttock rather than a long and square one as is the case in a belt lipectomy.
3. The ability to auto-augment the hips (a variation of a buttock flap that I thought up after noticing a boxy appearance of the hips in some of my earlier patients following a lower body lift). This not only augments the hips but also makes the waist look narrower." I had visited several doctors and there are several reasons that I chose Dr. Fisher. This was an all-inclusive deal, no +this+that. He looked at the total operation. The scars are low and healed well. I was concerned about having no hips after surgery; he addressed this. He also was very innovative in using excess skin to help augment my flat old butt. Although I was 61, I am healthy. I had lost about 90 lbs via gastic-bypass about 10 years ago and my weight was stable within +/- 10 lbs. I didn't have the $$ or I would have done this earlier in life. I took two days in the hospital and recovered 2 weeks at home (complete down time). My drains came out early, my scars were better than I imagined. I didn't not take any pain medicine except for the Advil 3-3x/day for 3 weeks. I had to go back one time bc a stitch in the back surfaced and started to bleed minorly. I still have some tenderness in butt, but I know this is where nerves are still connecting and should be expected. For surgery, I took pre-surgery & post-surgery supplements, ate plenty of protein and stayed hydrated. I did minor exercises before and walking after surgery. My personal advise, If you do not have time to take care of yourself, do not do any major surgery if you do not have to. This is major surgery but Dr. Fisher takes good care of you. I will attach photos if I can get some from his office.
I am going back for arm and breast augmentation this April.
