SHOWER! And lots of other firsts!

I was able to finally take a real shower!! My drain site still hasn't healed over completely, so I slathered it with Neosporin and put on a water proof bandaid. I also went ahead and got.some pictures.
I weighed myself and I am 213. Still pretty swollen, but i have been making sure to get enough protein and eat enough to meet my body's needs. I'm not trying to lose weight. I want to heal correctly.
We went out today and ate Italian! I also got a bubble tea and went to the parent teacher store for my classroom for next year. I also drove for the first time. Im tired now. My garmin says 849 steps.... eekkk. First time I've put it on in a month.

4 weeks post op: last drain is out!

I saw the RN today and she thankfully removed my last drain!!! I have another appt. in 2 months for a follow up!

I also put on my Marena stage 1 compression garment. It stays in place and doesn't roll like the one I got from the PS. Plus, I have been really chilly and it helps to keep me warm! It covers all of my stomach and upper thighs. It also has shoulder straps to hold it all in place. It was $70 on Amazon and worth every penny!

I massaged my scar for the first time as well and had some popping. I read that it's normal while breaking down scar tissue.

I still have A LOT of swelling in my back, mons, and thighs. I'll post better pics at the 5 week Mark! Nothing has changed in the past week!

Day 22: 1 drain left

Not much to update! I went on Wednesday and Dr. Wells took out 1 drain. The front left one is still producing too much. It's almost down to below 75.

I've also stopped taking Tylenol. It didn't seem to help with the general achyness.

Probably will get the other drain out Tuesday! Then I can wear my marena compression garment!

I had a lower body lift performed by Dr. Wells on June 8th, 2017. It was such an amazing experience! I had lost over 150lbs from eating low carb and exercising and had a lot of redundant skin around my waist and flanks. After the surgery, I woke up in recovery and rubbed my hands down my new stomach. The flatness that I felt compared to the 2 large folds I used to have was amazing. I took a picture when I got to my room and it was like a Barbie doll's waist! Dr. Wells listened to all of my concerns and my results are just wonderful! He was perfectly aggressive in his skin removal. He said he was able to remove about 20lbs of loose skin. I HIGHLY recommend him if you have had massive weight loss like I did. His staff is just amazing too. I love the RN Erin, she is so kind and friendly. So is Bailey, the receptionist. The person that sold me on choosing Dr. Wells, aside from his experience, was Sheila. All you need is a few moments on the phone with her to make you feel at ease.
