Aqualipo-Things to Consider

I recently completed my aqua lipo. A few things to think about before having this done.
1. If you’re mentally weak about medical procedures. Don’t do this. It was horrific and traumatic.
2. Make sure you have a nurse that will talk to you the entire time. A distraction and be sure you ask for that. Mine barely said anything and barely held my hand enough.
3. Ask if full sedation is possible.
4. If you are overweight, this procedure is not a “lunch time lipo”, maybe for someone having very minimum fat taken out. Anyone with a larger stomach, the pain!
5. Have saltine crackers available post-op and drink lots of water. I experienced vomiting from pain meds. Went off hydrocodone on the 2nd day and switched to extra strength Tylenol, much better, but eat with it.
6. On the 2nd day, showered fine and leaking stopped completely. On the 3rd day, extreme swelling, don’t eat heavy meals, I did which probably made it worse having salted foods.
7. On the 3rd day, road to recovery, still very swollen, but feeling better.
Thank you.

I’m still very swollen. I’m not seeing the change. Which I do understand will take time. I’m also having a rash experience around the holes where the canula went in that are really itchy. I have my 1 week post-op appointment tomorrow and will fill you in.

I’m still very sore. I’m able to do more walking around and some bending. I can’t stretch out like I used to and my upper back is really sore. I have to continue to remind myself to sit straight and stand straight otherwise my back kills me. I’m still wearing my compression garment, although it’s getting loose on me. I tried to wear the spanx and they were so uncomfortable and I was more sore from that. I tried the faja and it was even more uncomfortable.
I’m not sure yet if this process was worth the money or suffering. I’m hoping to see better results at my 1 month post op.

They wouldn’t even let me have my phone in the room with me. I’m not sure if I have the results I was looking for. I’m not slender or my ideal weight. I just wanted to eliminate more fat from my stomach than was taken. I’m afraid that I may need another opinion and go in for a full tuck.
