Aqualipo-Things to Consider

I recently completed my aqua lipo. A few things to think about before having this done.

1. If you’re mentally weak about medical procedures. Don’t do this. It was horrific and traumatic.

2. Make sure you have a nurse that will talk to you the entire time. A distraction and be sure you ask for that. Mine barely said anything and barely held my hand enough.

3. Ask if full sedation is possible.

4. If you are overweight, this procedure is not a “lunch time lipo”, maybe for someone having very minimum fat taken out. Anyone with a larger stomach, the pain!

5. Have saltine crackers available post-op and drink lots of water. I experienced vomiting from pain meds. Went off hydrocodone on the 2nd day and switched to extra strength Tylenol, much better, but eat with it.

6. On the 2nd day, showered fine and leaking stopped completely. On the 3rd day, extreme swelling, don’t eat heavy meals, I did which probably made it worse having salted foods.

7. On the 3rd day, road to recovery, still very swollen, but feeling better.

Thank you.

Wow--my experience was SO different. I'm thin and had only about a pound of fat removed from my outer thighs. I only had local anesthesia, which was just fine. I played Bookworm on my phone during the procedure. No special pain meds after. The compression garment I got from the surgeon was too big on me--wore Spanx. My recovery was easy. Happy with the results although it took a number of weeks till all the swelling was gone.

Would you mind sharing where you got your procedure done and how much did it cost you? Thanks

Thanks for the comment.
They wouldn’t even let me have my phone in the room with me. I’m not sure if I have the results I was looking for. I’m not slender or my ideal weight. I just wanted to eliminate more fat from my stomach than was taken. I’m afraid that I may need another opinion and go in for a full tuck.

Omg! I had it done in August! I'm not any kind of a sissy, and I literally thought I was gonna die... for weeks!! I turned the corner at week 5. Feel great now, but yes, no lunch time procedure here either. I had 2 1/2 liters of fat removed... it's amazing, but I was absolutely NOT prepared for the recovery!!!

Me too! Took about 5-6 weeks to feel normal again.

Hey, I went to Poland to have my procedure done. I had jet lipo on my abdomen and love handles. I was totally out under GA. I have 2 1/2 litre taken out of me and I’m happy with how I’m looking 11 days later, so really excited for the final look! I must say I’ve been in agony from the garment I’ve had to wear! I really thought I would be back to work the next day but no way! Thank god I was off for a week! I’ve rested up for over a week now And I’m no where near ready to go back! I’ve started massage now and I invested in a little machine to help it’s called beurer therapy MG40 can’t recommend this enough. Only £36 with next day delivery too. God send feeling much better now. I paid £2300 for my surgery in Poland. I hope this helps you.

I’m still very swollen. I’m not seeing the change. Which I do understand will take time. I’m also having a rash experience around the holes where the canula went in that are really itchy. I have my 1 week post-op appointment tomorrow and will fill you in.

2 weeks Post Op

I’m still very sore. I’m able to do more walking around and some bending. I can’t stretch out like I used to and my upper back is really sore. I have to continue to remind myself to sit straight and stand straight otherwise my back kills me. I’m still wearing my compression garment, although it’s getting loose on me. I tried to wear the spanx and they were so uncomfortable and I was more sore from that. I tried the faja and it was even more uncomfortable.

I’m not sure yet if this process was worth the money or suffering. I’m hoping to see better results at my 1 month post op.

Don't lose hope, you are looking better in the pics as the days go by. I've read that sometimes the end results can take up to 6 months. Do you mind mentioning where you got the procedure? Best of Luck
