I am now 7 months post surgery and feel like a new person. When I wear a blouse my midriff now goes in, and I can wear pants with a tucked in top. I feel I like thinner although I'm only 1 or 2 lbs. lighter, but with all that loose skin gown I look and feel great - sorry I didn't do it years ago. I just bought a fitted dress and it lays flat no stomach sticking out. Also, since I'm looking better I'm taking more care of myself and now am working out at the gym besides running 6 miles 4 times a week.

Today is 6 weeks and 3 days since my surgery. The doctor said I am healing like a young person (which at 69 feels great) and I can now swim and run just no sit ups which is fine with me as I hate them. I feel great but some of my pants that were very fitted before the surgery are still tight on my, but I'm wearing a blouse that I had stopped wearing as it showed my rolls of fat and now I'm flat. My straight dresses tend to show the line where my scar is as it is still a little swollen which the doctor said is normal. He said it's normal at this stage of recovery for the scar to be red, lumpy, bumpy, etc. and told me to start massaging it. I really feel good about myself and am happy I did the surgery.

We are now 5 weeks since my TT. I feel good and since I'm not allowed to run have been doing a fast 4 mile walk 4-5 times a week. I still feel like I'm wearing a steel girdle on my midriff and my stomach has no feeling. My larger slacks now fit me (size 4), but my size 2's do up but are tight over my stomach as you can see the side pockets standing out. I tried on some dresses the other day and they still don't fit quite right and are a little tight just above the area where the stitches are. I have no patience and wrong assumed that all my clothes would fit by now and I would automatically look slimmer. I really enjoy looking at my flat stomach, even it's a bit swollen, and no see my big ugly caesarian scar and my husband says I look great. I'm really looking forward to when I can get into all my clothes with ease and I am not sorry I had the TT done at my age.
