Hi, I'm 41 year old with 2 kids. I used to work in Miami when I got married and wanted to look as good as everyone else. I was a 34 C and wanted to "fill" it up. So I got implants, but the doctor advised getting larger ones so I wouldn't need a lift. I ended up with 675 saline under the muscle. At that time I was around 120 lbs, 5'7 (in 2001). I loved them but I looked ridiculous. After two kids later, the breast tissue was just hanging and the implants seemed to be moving higher and higher. So finally in 2010 my husband allowed me to remove and replace with 375 silicone and get a breast lift. Very painful recovery and within 3 weeks I was developing a contracture in my right breast. No amount of massaging could stop this thing, so the surgeon said when I was ready to come back in and get it fixed. As the years went by, my right breast got worse and worse, especially a few weeks before my period. Pain, pressure-it became a "rock" in a sock. The other breast didn't look so great either. So what made me decide that at some point I would remove them is when my two young girls asked me why boobs are hard? It was always uncomfortable sitting with them on the couch and them leaning against this hard thing. So I had researched some docs in the area and then I found this site. A woman had seen a Dr. Pozner in boca and had amazing results. I saw him the next week and he advised removing them as a last resort. he felt other options would be better. But I said I do not want any more foreign objects in my body. So I scheduled it quickly so I can go on a ski trip in 8 weeks. Was extremely nervous of getting it done locally and all the "what ifs" that can go wrong-ruptured implant, or can't even get the one out. Procedure went well even though they really had to open more of the capsule on the right breast due to the contracture. I felt nothing. Took one pain pill that day and that was it. I am now in a sports bra -day two, and driving. My breasts are not perfect, but they look a lot better than before. Hopefully they will fill out a bit more, but honestly I don't really care. I'm in a 34 D sports bra but i'm guessing i'll end up being a 32 c or 34 b when this is all over with. Much better than the 32DDD I was.

How was the procedure itself? Did you feel the shoots locally? Did he leave the capsule or remove it? Did he have to make the old incision bigger to remove the implant? Thank you. I had my first consult today.

The procedure wasn't bad at all since just local. Didn't feel much at all except a lot of pressure when he was getting them out. He left the capsules-said my body would reabsorb them. To take out the capsules you need general surgery. Went on old incision to get them out. Second surgery in dec 2014 to take out the capsules, had to cut on the old scar under my nipple. That surgery was general surgery. Had drains for one week afterwards. Either way make sure the doctor puts drains in afterwards best of luck to you!
