WORTH IT$1,900
Wanted to update for those considering removing implants. after 3 months of implant removal (no restrictions then) my right breast swelled up (after a ski trip) and had to get 50cc of fluid drained. So basically i had a seroma on that side because he did not remove the capsules. That was the same side i had a severe contracture on. From then on i was drained a total of 12 times, twice by an interventional radiologist, the rest by the plastic surgeon. I was about to get the capulses removed by pozner but thought id go and see one other plastic surgeon in the area. I saw Dr. Becker and it was covered by insurance. I had the capsulectomy in december so i am 3 months out and finally able to run and do yoga again. So, word of advice.....get the capsules out no matter how thin they say they are. I am finally glad this is all behind me now...

Feeling fine. Still not sure if they will shrink more. The PS said I have no fluid in them. I hope this gives women the courage to not put implants back in...

You look amazing!

Thanks for your kind words. I am surprised with all I've been through. That's why I told the PS to just take them out and give me time.

Thank you!! I read your profile. Did you get an explant or are you waiting....

WOW I am blown away GRIN.

He obviously went through my old incisions to get them out, but he put this tape on them that I have to change every 3 days to keep the incision flat. It's some waterproof tape you can buy at walgreens. The sutures are absorbable.

I never knew I had that much breast tissue left....but even if I didn't I would still rather be flat and happy. Thanks

absolutely beautiful.
may i ask how long the scars from your breast lift surgery took to heal?
i am having my implants removed... they've been drained... dr. Pozner is my surgeon also.
he says he will do a lift because i wont be happy with just removal and fat transfer,,,, because i am too droopy, unlike you. so, i will have scars from the breast lift. your scars are barely visible and I am wondering how long it might take for the scars to fade as nicely as yours have....
when i see before and after pictures of breast lifts, and I see those scars, it really scares me...
but your scars are barely visible, and I would be fine with that.... just wonder, how long did it take for them to fade so much?
thanks.

Thank you. I feel so "normal" now.... What a hard and expensive lesson to learn over the years...

Wow! You look great to only be 3 days post op.

Thanks. It's better than I had hoped for. Just going slow this time, our bodies tend to heal on their own. If it wasn't for this site, I would still be with my implants because not one PS advised me to just take them out!! So grateful. I hope others find this site!

You look amazing. I agree if it weren't for this site I would be more hesitant. I am same size as you with similar size silicone implant. I'm removing in a couple weeks and terrified of doing it locally. May spend more to be put under

Congrats to you! You look beautiful! It will be so wonderful to hold your babes close now :)

Thank you. Yes it is. I can finally give people a hug!! I brought the implants home to show my girls so hopefully they will never do something like this. Totally grossed them out, except for the little one who wants to wear them for Halloween next year!!

I have an appointment for a consult to get my implants out (Saline above the muscle) I am worried I will need a lift which I can't afford right now. I am currently a 36F and can't stand it. Never shrunk after my daughter. Any advice?
February 1, 2014
It is easy to just deflate the implants and see what you look like. I would find out if there is any cost benefit of getting them done together. Also, you can get carecredit that charges no interest for 12 months so you can just break the payment down to make it more affordable. Good luck . How big were your implants?

Hi. While the asthetics are important in the long run, I would suggest thinking about just having them removed and take a look at your breasts a year from now and decide if you need a lift. Our bodies and breasts may contract back some and the breasts may look ok. Ive been through so much lately with all my breast issues I cant imagine nipple healing after explant! Im gona trust mother nature and pray shes on my side and my nipples will find there way upward too. Lol! U hav to decide what u can live with after all this and whats important to you. Good luck and keep me posted. I cant wait to be natural and not be embarrested by my big round unnatural looking breasts. Thank goodness for padded bras. Oh and ive seen some women tape their nipples up right after explanting. Ill have to find out more about that and if it helps.

The implants were 325cc. Before my daughter they were ok. But they got so big after her it is just disgusting. My consult is in 2/13/14. I am pretty set that I am getting them out regardless of what they look like after I think they will look better

looking good. how are you feeling?
February 1, 2014
I feel so fine, trying not to do too much, looking better day by day but I am going to wait until a week before a post another picture, because I think my "fullness" is probably just fluid. I was so embarrassed to post my huge, melon, pre-explant picture- I hope it gives others the courage to get them out!!
