Hey everyone,

I'm so glad to be able to hear all your brave and successful stories. I'm hoping to be one of them myself. :-)

I'm so thankful to be able to not only get through this with your help, but be able to share my story as well and to maybe help someone else with their decision.

Here's my story:

I was 30 when I felt the need to have implants. I never had a boob hangup so to speak, but when I started working out hard, my 34 B's became 31 AA's. :-0. That's when I not only lost my girls, but obviously lost a few brain cells as well.

I got the expanders that allowed me to get the size I wanted and then pull the plug out after receiving the final results.

Well I wound up getting 600 cc's. Fast forward 13 years later, I hated them & wanted them smaller. They went from full C's to DD's. I received a 2nd surgery to replace with smaller ones. I'm now currently have 350 cc Mentor smooth saline, under the muscle, filled to 360. However I'm big again & that was 3 years ago.

I REALLY can't stand them anymore & want them out. I never was one to flaunt them. either. As a matter of fact I've been covering them up & my body for 5 years. I'm totally embarrassed and now become the girl with the boob hang up.

I do not want anymore surgerys and I'm not planning on doing a lift either. I'm praying that I come out as well as all you other ladies have.

I have a consult this Friday, so I'm not sure of the price yet. This blog will not allow me to post without putting a price in. So I'm winging the price for now, I will have to repost my results with the right price.

Thank you so much for sharing your stories & pictures.

Good luck with your consult Outtahere. I can sure relate to hiding in baggy clothes, it's no fun to carry around the burden of implants. I'm extremely happy with my decision and feel amazing without them! Hope you get some relief too :) Let us know if you have questions for your consult(s).

Hi Natural, Did you have the scar capsule removed as well? I keep reading different remarks about keeping it, and removing it. Not sure what the doc will say & I want to be able to have some input about it.
October 22, 2013
I had my implants inside the muscle, a "complicated but great pocket" my explant surgeon called it. We agreed that capsulectomy would be attempted. The capsule (scar tissue) was completely adhered to my chest wall, scraping it all would have caused massive bleeding/injury. So my PS used that tissue, attaching my breast with internal stitches to the chest wall. It gave me fantastic results, like an internal lift. Most of the capsule tissue was removed, nothing hard or deformed left in there. Everyone is different - some people act like it's not a real explant unless it's done "en bloc" but my surgeon knew it would have caused traumatic bleeding.
October 22, 2013
Did he know in advance that he was going to need to so that? You came out great btw! I'm thinking about doing local. I can't wait to see what this doc thinks. I'm just nervous about getting a NEW doc. I wish I would have had my old doc just pull them out, instead of down sizing.
October 23, 2013
No, going in we just had an agreement that he would "try" to remove as much scar capsule as possible without causing injury or bleeding. After it was finished, I honestly was shocked at the outcome and the way he did internal stitching. I was warned that I'd look hideous afterward. Not so much!
October 23, 2013
Ok, so he did plan on doing it. I'm so nervous about this explant thing. I did really well with both augmentations, but this scar removal/drains thing is making me really nervous. Removing them is suppose to be easier, but it seems like more of a process after they are removed.
October 23, 2013
I've read that the capsular will go away and I've ALSO read that it's best to remove. Ugh...
October 23, 2013
No worries, discuss YOUR body with your PS. Don't let yourself get stressed over people's advice or opinions. I gathered all the info I could, and presented my PS with what I wanted, then let him give me his educated response. The drains sucked, I won't lie. But life is awesome without the implants. I'd do it again under no anesthesia if it were my only choice! The recovery was a breeze after drains were removed.

Thank you for your posts Natural Liv. I am new to this site and without having my second consultation yet I am curious and need to ask, how does one know if you want a lift at the time of removal? Does your PS make that decision after previous discussion? I sure don't want any more breast surgeries, this is it for me.
October 23, 2013
Debkaye My PS said "if you don't get a lift, your breast will look like wet empty tube socks." I still said no and happy I did. Plastic surgeons sell a product. for money. He was awesome, don't get me wrong - it's just the business in my opinion. I didn't have the extra $5,000 for a lift and had to have faith that if my belly bounced back from 3 pregnancies that my breasts might also.
October 23, 2013
I 100% agree.... great comment!
October 23, 2013
Thank liv, that helps to hear.

Good luck with your consultation. I have large implants too (650cc) and I'm getting a simple explant with no lift Oct 30th. I will Let you know how it goes. Hello to a fellow Floridian:)
October 23, 2013
Simple meaning no capsule removal..I've only had mine in 2 years and have a very thin capsule so my ps is leaving it.
October 23, 2013
Bailey222. Please help me understand what a "simple explant" is and what made you choose no lift before seeing the results of the explant? thank you.
October 23, 2013
Sure, a simple explant generally means that the ps makes an incision and removes just the implant and then closes it doing nothing further. I had a full lift when I had my original BA 3 years ago. A year later I had a revision so at this point I'm kinda over all the surgeries and I just want the implants out. I'm having my procedure done under local anesthetic and I really wanted to do this as non invasive as possible. I won't say that I would never have another lift but at this point I'm just going to explant and see what I'm left with. Many of the women here have done that found that though the results may not be perfect its something that they could live with. I'm praying that I'm one of those women:) Good luck on your journey!
October 23, 2013
Hi Bailey, Please keep me updated with your progress. I had mine redone smaller 3 yrs ago, so I'm hoping this doc says the same thing about the simple part. :-)
October 23, 2013
I will definitely keep you posted:)
October 23, 2013
Just to add...in my simple explant, there was some capsular contraction in my right breast that my doctor removed. So although "simple" the PS can see and remove scar tissue if necessary.
October 23, 2013
Oh thank you, that's good to know!
October 23, 2013
Thank you Bailey222

My best wishes to you Outtahere. I look forward to following your posts.

Thanks Debkye

Good luck with your consult! I decided against lift as well. My personal reason is because I am over trying to have perfect boobs! I'm 48 and secure that my sagginess will be remedied by a bra! I never went bra less with the implants, so not expecting to do that now!!! Also, it is much simpler and I did it with a local and no sedation. Didn't need pain pills and I am thrilled with the look! Back to myself - imperfect, but real! Keep us posted!
October 23, 2013
awesome, thanks
October 23, 2013
Lucky, I'm hoping to get away with just a local as well. How long did you have yours?
October 23, 2013
Take a look at my review (click on my name and it will take you to my profile where you can click on my review). I tried to describe the process when it was fresh in my mind. I wouldn't change a thing!

Counting the days

I'm in the middle of my Realestate broker course & trying my best, to not count the days.

I have one more week of class next week, then I have my removal on Monday. Right now I'm not only anxious about my test next Thursday, but I'm also very anxious about the explant.

Want so much to get it over with & see my results. I've had these things for way too long and they are feeling so heavy.
