it's the night before my surgery. I'm absolutely terrified. I'm not scared anymore of how they are going to look when they are finished, but I'm terrified of the general anesthetic and the surgery itself.
I'm having this done for a few different reasons first I love my breasts when I was breastfeeding they were functional in full and beautiful. I would like to restore the ornamental factor of breast and be able to enjoy them like that again. I do want to wear pretty clothes, and lacy bras, and bikini tops. I've recently gotten into very good shape, and love my body. I just know that I will enjoy it more with breasts are really beautiful. My plastic surgeon feels like I do not need a lift because I don't have enough said. And so I am mostly just trying to get volume restored I would like to be about a large C or small D my family has had very negative reactions to this being done. They think it is very selfish. I agree that it is very selfish.and I'm also doing it for other reasons. No one else gets to determine the architecture of your happiness. I'm an adult it is my body. I have saved money for this I paid for it in cash. My children are well cared for, & I have one going off to college in the fall I paid off several thousand dollars worth of medical bills for 16 child over the last year. I worked very very hard to do this. This is a sign to myself of my competence in providing for my family and in providing for myself.
I divorced last year. when people get divorced, they buy motorcycles, & new houses and have new lovers, and move to new places. I decided this is what I am doing. I might well be crazy. But you only live once.

Well, I survived! I'm home, and other than being nauseous and sore it's not too bad. And holy cow, they look amazing already.

Well i dont think your being selfish at all. Glad your home and doing well thusfar. Cant wait to see the results. Im excited for you. I have also been thinking about doing this for many years anw im 53. I have booked my consult its on june 1. Ive been a 32a all my life. Maybe the ps will tell me im too old and why bother now. I would love to know how it feels to actuaaly have some and be able to fill out my clothes properly and maybe even feel a bit feminine for what life i have left to live. I feel ive done my duties suchas as raise children now 30 & 27 paid our mortgage etc. Now its time for me i think. Im pretty excited and also nervous. Keep me updated how your making out and take care.

Seriously, they look better than I could have imagined. I'm sore but not needing much pain medication. ..just took plain acetaminophen this afternoon. PS says I have to keep the bandage tape on until my follow up next week. The worst part was the post op nausea, the pain has not been any worse than engorgement after childbirth.
