I'm 29 years old I have two kids my daughter is 9 and son is 2. I nursed my son and it seems like my breast have deflated. I've been wanting to get the surgery but I was too scared until my cousin went and got her breast lift. She looked soooooooo good. So I have to get mines done now lol. This will be my 30th birthday gift to myself!!!! I'm so excited and nervous.

Donut lift with 325cc implants
So I decided on 325cc silicone implants. I want my breast to look natural, I'm very petite (4'9" 115 lbs) didn't want super big implants. Dr. Lofman is going to do a "Donut" lift I'm happy about that because it's less scaring. As an African American woman our skin Is prone to keloids, and I definitely don't want that. My surgery is getting closer and closer and I'm so nervous!!! Also I can't stop looking at boobs!!!!

That's so normal to be boob obsessed right now. I was scared I would lose my job because my mind was all about breasts lol. I'm also black and am worried about scars. My advice is include a "scar budget for your self. Save an extra 500-1000 Just for scar treatment and get scar supplies prior to surgery so that when the PS clears you, you can start them the same day. Congratulations on taking the leap! Feel free to reach out and ask anything.

Congratulations on deciding to get implants. I've had mines for over a year now. I can say from my experience the scars aren't bad at all. My scars are pretty much nonexistent. I didn't use any creams or oils either. I wish you the best of recovery. Feel free to ask any questions you may have.

My 30th Birthday
Question... my 30th birthday is a week after surgery and I want to go out to dinner. Everybody keeps telling me that I won't be able to do anything for my birthday. Ladies how did you feel one week after surgery??

I think you'll be fine if you're just going to dinner, maybe don't drink because you'll be on meds but a little dinner then go rest. The first week is hard because you'll feel fine being on drugs but really you'll need to rest. I was a little hard on myself the first week and am still feeling the effects. October 5th is coming up soon! How are you feeling? Getting excited?! Have you started preparing anything for post surgery yet?

I'm definitely not drinking, I'll just have them put my juice in a champagne flute lol.
I'm nervous and excited!!! I go Monday to talk to my Dr. I want more info about the implants I'm getting and if I can go bigger (350cc instead of 325cc) plus I have to pay for the surgery.
I need help making a checklist I'm so lost! All i know is that I need to get a sports bra that zips in the front and some type of scar treatment. Help me please!!!!!

Perfect idea!
I suggest considering and asking for 375 or 400cc, all reviews I've read here say that you can't tell the difference when going up in 25cc increments. I'll give you a thorough run down of what I did for prep when I get off work and have time but check my recent update for the scar treatments I plan on using. I don't know if you're prone to keloids or "bad" scarring but I suggest bugiting an extra $500-1000 extra for scar treatment alone because it's a genetic factor for darker skin healing differently and may need more help than a simple Wal-Mart cream.

Havnt forgotten about you. I'll PM you with a list of stuff I did to prep as soon as I can. Got in a car wreck so I'm focusing on dealing with and healing from that and havnt checked or had time for this site the last few days. I'm still thinking of you and getting excited for you though so I got you as soon as I can.

Your PS should give you a checklist of what you will need, at least mine did. If you want to increase 25cc it shouldn't make too much of a difference as I been told you can't notice a difference by that small amount. Zip sports bras do help, I found mine at Walmart. You ca go look at my profile to see my journey. I never thought about having complications after surgery. Just keep that in mind, it's a possibility. You should do fine, it's a very exciting experience! Good luck!

My doctor said the only thing I needed to do was shower with hibiclens the night before surgery.

I week after my surgery, I could go out to eat as long as I wasn't raising the roof or anything...no hard hugs or nothing like that either...You probably don't wanna drink either especially if you're still on meds, but just sitting down and eating would be just fine. That's just my op :)
