WORTH IT
This update is pretty late, but this is my 1yr9mos post-op picture after all is settled. I posted 10/2/13 with concerns of becoming too small. I wound up a B-cup from a DDD. Sometimes I think they're too small, most times I think they're just perfect, but all the time I am grateful for the relief of pain from the weight.

My L-Breast healed at a slower pace and by my removing the tape prematurely it reopened. Overall, I'm pleased.

Everything looks great. I'm 3 weeks post-op. I went from a F cup to a C cup. Well right now I'm not certain. They're still a little swollen. I'm happy of the fact that I instantly felt relief off my neck & back. Also I did not remove the surgical tape, I allowed it to come off on its own and only cut off where it was hanging. I still ended up with a open womb. I actually went in today they had to clean out the room and packed it with gauze. The sharp pain that I get constantly in the breast the pa states that it's the netves reconnecting. How soon was it before you could start sleeping on your side and not on you back or sitting up? Oh how I miss My sleep. I know only sleep on my stomach which is far away from now it appears

Hi Sharpebreeze!! Thanks and congrats on you being pain-free from the excess weight.

I was also an F (44F or 44DDD) and went to a 42C. I did as you did... cut away loose dried out tape, but I pulled the L-Breast one off at Doctors direction b/c they're began to be an issue with the L-breast: Bleeding, etc. However, it wasn't time and it reopened, thus the darker mark under the L-nipple.

Sleep... let's see. I can't remember how long it took, sorry. I know it was painstaking like you're describing but if I think back it was maybe about 4-6wks. It just kinda happened. Lol I'm naturally a side sleeper, but of course, just because you "can't," you want too.

Hi NervusNelly, what about the Sharp pains in your breast that they say come from the Nerves reconnecting. How did you handle that? Or is there something you did to help ease the pain?

I did experience that and boy was it s doozy!! I'd be minding my business and BAM! It'd hit me like a ton of bricks. Sometimes it'd stop me in my tracks & sometimes not. I just dealt with it best I could and occasionally took something for pain. It lasted for some weeks into months. Can't remember off the bat when it all stopped because the phantom pain would be so sporadic.

Hi, I have an upcoming appointment. Can you share with me about the pain level you experienced and what the 1st week post-op was like?
