The skin above my eyes due to the type of eyes I had began sagging creating a dark line in which I could not see the ceiling, or high part of a wall when looking straight ahead. I am 22 months post op and think the surgery was an excellent choise as now I can see the ceiling when looking straight ahead without raising my eyebrows.
As far as for discomfort yes, there was some discomfort during the healing process. Also I had severe bruising for 2 to 3 weeks. So do not plan the surgery if you have an event to go to for at least one month. If I use a magnifying mirror I can see some faint scars but I am sure no one else can see them. Since I opted for the procedure for more of a corrective procedure I did not have hopes that the outcome would make me look like a new person, instead I have a more awake look and hopefully years of unobsured vision.
