50 Year Old, Lost 140 Pounds and Now It's Time to Sculpt This Body!! Blacksburg, VA

WORTH IT$6,000
Through hard work and lots of perseverance I have lost 140 pounds! It has taken me three years and it has never been a diet to me but a lifestyle change! As a maturing woman who still wants to look great, I am finally ready to put the finishing touches on sculpting this body....I have had 2 C-sections and a hysterectomy that all gave me a yucky long vertical scar. When I choose my PS I did so through looking at excellent reviews and a mutual friend who happens to work at his office. She had liposuction/tummy tuck as well and speaks very highly of him. I refuse to be nervous, afraid, or unsure of why I am doing this. Instead, I am excited and now feel very prepared thanks to this awesome website and the fabulous people who have shared their experience!!! My PS, based on my consult, feels that I only need a mini tummy tuck with lipo. All my life I have had a "thick trunk" and he feels that the area above my belly button is in great shape and with lipo and tummy tuck I should be good to go. At first, I was a little disappointed because I will still have part of my scar but then I realized I was doing this to get rid of the horrible overhang of skin/fat that interferes with my exercise regimen and being able to wear pants that fit well in the stomach area. He is the professional and I will trust his judgment!! I have worn a two piece bathing suit at the beach already and the overhang drove me crazy not the scar or stretch marks. I have not told many people about this ....so I have not posted pictures yet but I will probably put a before pic up in a few days!! The countdown is on!!! Lots to do to get ready!

Post op appointment is done and now to get ready!
Post Op appt went great last week. I am finishing up things at work tomorrow and my surgery is scheduled for Monday morning. It is finally hitting me that I am doing this. I am not worried about the pain-only that I could be disappointed with my results. I am not at my goal weight yet. I have 20 pounds to go and I think the older we get the harder this is!!! I refuse to give in. After I heal it's back to working on achieving this dream!! Any last minute pointers?

Had my surgery Thurs Dec 4, the most essential item I found is my recliner that self lifts, massages and has a lower back heating pad. They are expensive but I found a practically brand new one for $300 us on Craigslist. Also a travel pillow called Comfy Commuter from Amazon. I could not do without these 2 items. Also!!!! Take the colace at least a week in advance and eat very light leading up to sugery. I've had 2 BMs with zero problems. This was one of my biggest concerns because my ps and staff as well as nursing staff at hospital made a big deal about how horrible the first BM was. Whew - was I relieved.

This is no easy task, but it'll be worth it!!!
Surgery was on Monday....took 3.5 hours. My Dr did more than we planned but he's the professionl. Came home rested started getting sick switched from Percocet to Loritabt and he changed my nausea meds. Checkup was yesterday everything is looking great drain stay in til Mon. Walker has been helpful, hate sleeping in the recliner!!When the nurse took off the binder I looked down and thought WHO IS THAT?? No overhang of skin!!! Yipee!!! I know it will all be worth it!!!!
