Pain today

I've been having rib pain today and my right incision has been hurting. Weird because it didn't really hurt much before today. It also seems lumpier too. When I spoke with my ps's office, they said the right could be dropping before the left or it could be Mondor's cord. I don't feel any cords. I'm taking a Percocet tonight for the pain (first since Saturday) and putting a heating pad on my ribs/incisions.

1 week post-op, not sure if good or bad

I had my first post op visit. I hadn't really noticed before, because I've stayed in my surgical bra all week (except to shower and wash it - but then I just wore a sleeper nursing bra), but I think the scars on each side are different. One feels like it follows the curve of my breast and the other feels more like a straight line and is a finger width higher than my other scar. This scar is also lumpier than the other. My ps noticed a difference too, and said we might have to do something to it later on. :( I'm hoping that they even out over the next few weeks. I have another post-op in early November.

Feeling pretty good

I'm three days post-op and I'm doing pretty well. Ran out of Valium yesterday so I'm just on Percocet. Might switch to straight Tylenol tonight. Feeling a bit constipated. My breasts are losing the square shape, which is great. I'm doing some mini arm stretching, and I think it's helping to speed up the drop and fluff. Armpit pain is minimal, and cleavage pain is a little more than minimal. I can feel my incision sites are a bit sore. I get to shower today and take the tape off, so I'm having my hubby help me. I hope that what I'm seeing is a lot of swelling because otherwise I think I'll end up with D's. I was hoping for a C cup, but no big deal. My ultimate goal was to have some breasts when I wear sports bras, so I am not so self conscious. So far, so good!

My interactions so far have been great. The nurses are informative and non-judgmental. I've been able to maintain confidentiality regarding the procedure, which I appreciate. Bonus: the caller ID shows the name of a local clinic so I don't have to worry about getting a call at work! Dr. Honeycutt was straightforward and honest about what she could and could not do for me. I feel like I will be in good hands. I'm looking forward to this procedure!
