I had a wonderful experience at my consultation with Dr. Honeycutt and her staff. The nurse was very thorough n did not rush through anything. All my questions were answered. Dr. Honeycutt spent about 1.5 hours with me discussing my options, fears and I am confident of her ability to achieve my goals. My after consult questions were answered promptly. I have my surgical letter with prescriptions, etc. I have really had a hard time deciding to explant or downsize. Dr. Honeycutts staff have been very patient with me and professional. EXPANT day: The nurses and anesthesiologist were very caring and gave me ample time for questions. Everything was right on time. Dr. Honeycutt is so personable and caring. This doesnt stop at her patients either. I have seen her ask her nurses, receptionists, how thier day is going and if she can be of help. She helped me to the bathroon with my IV, when she could have asked a nurse to do it. She tied my gown for me! I cannot find any one thing they could have done to improve my experience. I HIGHLY recommend her to everyone looking for a top knotch PS. Her qualifications and facility are impressive! Her down to earth personally, approachability and honesty are refreshing!

You look great and I hope your healing continues to go well. I am also getting my implants removed at some point soon. I was also struggling with should I have them replaced, but at the age of 47 I don't think implants are a maintenance that I want to upkeep into my 50's and beyond.

Finally get to see the 'girls'

And the 'girls' look pretty darn good to me!!! Ive very happy with my breasts post expant. My neck and back feel so much better! I have more natural breast tissue then I thought I would. They are so SOFT and light.
Im hoping for a little fluff but if it doesnt happen, Im still gona be very happy with what I have.
Taking the ace wrap off was AWESOME! It itched and felt cumbersome, but it was a necessary part of the process. I took a shower n Feel wonderful.
I do regret getting the implants. 630cc saline implants are heavy and over time they drop and look very matronly. And they dont last forever!!
For all you ladys out there that are contemplating explant vs replacement-I know the struggle to come to a decision you can live with. It was not an easy decision for me and Im happy it is behind me.
I think that had I been younger (53yo now) I would have downsized to 400-450cc silicone. Im at a different stage in my life now and having them out was the best decision for me.
I will post pics in a month or so so you can see if Ive had any changes.

I need to tone up my abs! Now that I can see my belly-they need major work! LOL!

So glad to hear you are happy! I'm having an explant with lift on April 22nd. Very nervous but your courage has given me courage. I'm scared of the lift but was thinking that if im going to be smaller I should be perky :-). I too need to work on my belly. I am 5'4" and weigh 165lbs.
Good luck on your upcoming surgery. Im glad this chapter in my life is closed. :)

Day 2 post explant

I cant believe how little pain I have!! I took one pain pill yesterday-it made me a little itchy so havent taken anything since. Ocassional pain at the outside breast but its only if I move a certain way. Still resting and taking it easy.
Tomoro evening I can take this ace wrap off and have a shower. The top of my breasts feel alittle swollen. After that I am to wear a snug bra for a week or two.
