So it’s been two weeks since surgery and I’m loving the results so far.
Days 1-3 in my opinion were the worst I would say pain wise and just in general. My medication (hydrocodone) had me crazy emotionally ha so I stopped taking those around day 3. My hubby was a big help so any of you with kids getting a BA I advise you find someone to take care of you for about a week. Getting up and sitting back down, reaching for things, opening up pill bottles, baby bottles, even using the bathroom is pretty difficult. I needed some help, which for me was difficult because I’m so used to doing things on my own.
I did do some house work before today, laundry, dishes, even picking up my 19m old. Which I wasn’t supposed to do for 2 weeks but I couldn’t just sit still. I just listened to my body and if it became to much I would stop.
Incisions are healing very nicely. I’m actually amazed at how great they look.
I am very sensitive from my nipple down though, my right boob especially, the left boob seems to be taking to this better. It’s very tender to touch and even with clothes rubbing on it. I was given the option to either wear the bra i was given or no bra at all, so I’m going the braless route. I’ve even put bandaids on my nipple to keep from rubbing on my shirts. Pretty annoying but oh well I knew what I was signing up for!
I’m still sleeping on my back. I’ve tried sleeping on my sides but half way through the night it gets very uncomfortable and I get stiff and sore.
My post op app is on Monday so I’m assuming they will be removing the stitches. Hopefully I’ll hear good news and that I’m on track for healing.

Well it’s the day after surgery and I’m doing well. Yesterday was the worst of it I believe. I passed out when they inserted the IV ha that was interesting. But as for the surgery doc said it went smooth and as expected. I woke up in pain but they gave me some meds then I was discharged and headed home, which I remember none of. I’m able to use the bathroom by self so far but as getting up off the couch and back down I do need a bit of help. My nausea had passed and I’m able to eat a little more. Coughing sneezing and hiccuping are the worst ha. The girls are big but not as big as I thought they would be but I’m sure it’s because they are so high and tight. Can’t feel my nipples and i can feel my incisions from time to time. Well so far that’s all I can think of. Will update more later on. :)

Surgery Tomorrow!!!!

So surgery is tomorrow and I’m kinda freaking out. More so along the way of “I can’t believe this is happening” Major jitters!
Yesterday I got all my meds
-Keflex(antibiotic)
-Lorcet(pain pill)
-Celebrex(anti-inflammatory)
-Phenergan Cream(nausea)
-Colace(stool softener)
-Valium(muscle relaxer)
Doctor also prescribed Lyrica (nerve pain) but my insurance wouldn’t cover it so I wasn’t about to spend 120 on 8 pills. So hopefully I won’t be in to much pain.
Trying to not think so much about tomorrow so I don’t go crazy. Deep cleaning my house today, taking my dog to the groomers, my hubby has an app for his foot (had surgery on both last year). Hopefully that will keep my busy throughout the day.
Here’s another wish pic that my hubby really loves. And just a silly pic I found on Pinterest on how the word BOOBS came about haha

You can get discounts on your meds. Goodrx.com. You can also adjust the coupon to the strength and amount your dr prescribed. I’m not sure where you live, but I used this site and was able to get 5 scripts for $36 at Kroger’s. Also make sure your surgeon called in the generic form that will help with the price as well. Hope this helps!

Doc said there’s no generic form of lyrica. he said it’s something he recently stated prescribing so that I didn’t want to pick it up I didn’t have to. the less meds the better ha. but if I do end up needing it I’ll keep this in mind. thank you. we also don’t have a Kroger’s where I live :/

You’re welcome. There are many other places that’s accept it. Kroger’s and Walmart are just our big local pharmacies around here.
