I've always had a larger bottom half and very small chested... Over the years my breasts never changed but the sizing at VS kept going up despite my lack of breast size actually changing. I'm recently engaged and want to fill out a wedding dress and have a more proportional body. I've been thinking about a BA for years and finally felt like this was the right time to do it. I had my initial consult in June 2015 and scheduled surgery for September 8th. I only consulted with Dr. Becker because word of mouth referrals mean something to me and I had heard nothing but the best about him. I liked the look of his work the best and felt comfortable during my consult. I brought my mom with to my pre-op appointment since she would be caring for me after surgery and I retried on the sizes and ended up choosing 500cc silicone under the muscle. Dr. Becker chose the profile which ended up being high profile.

Chest muscles still very tight but feeling great otherwise. The usual stinging and burning out of nowhere but that was to be expected. Still have the steristrips on which get to come off sept 22. My fiancé got to see them for the first time last night and has been happy with the smooth recovery and looks. I had even told him that maybe they should have been bigger but we shall see how they drop and fluff. Still high with some pointed down nipples.

I think you look great! It's interesting to see we got the same volume just a different diameter/profile. What does your side profile look like?

Out of order- day of surgery and onward

My surgery was set for Sept 8th at 2:30 which meant nothing to eat after 6am and nothing to drink after 8am. I went and got a workout in and then scheduled a massage to pass the time. Thankfully they called and asked me to come in early so I arrived around 1:45pm and got the process started. IV started, met with anesthesiologist, met with Dr. Becker. He was very reassuring and we discussed the plan on size. I was concerned they would be too big and he reassured me that if I liked the look in the mirror I shouldn't focus on cup size because every place sizes differently. I felt at ease and was ready to go for it. I was of course a little nervous which he said was normal. I went into surgery and got a last look at the clock around 3pm and I was in recovery shortly after 4pm. I felt like I came out of anesthesia very well- no nausea at all and felt pretty good. I arrived home, proceeded to the couch, ginger ale in hand. I was surprised by the amount of pain I had in the backs of my arms- it was by far the worst part of the whole process and was unexpected. Thankfully that disappeared 4 hours after surgery. I have had no problems sleeping although it has been an adjustment to sleep on my back versus my side- I can't wait to sleep on my side again! I had picked up all of my meds prior to surgery and those included: Valium, Celebrex, an antibiotic, lorcet, and lyrica. I had started a stool softener 3 days prior to surgery but it still didn't prevent bloating and constipation. I ended up with a rash on my abdomen which after consulting with Dr. Becker I stopped the antibiotic. I only took nine lorcet over the course of the first week. I didn't feel like the pain was terrible and I felt like the lyrics/celebrex helped the most. I don't feel like I've had a lot of muscle spasms at all. The days following surgery I felt like I was pretty "active"- my mom and I took coffee to the ladies I work with, did other little errands like groceries and went to the jewelry store to get our rings cleaned, etc. I feel like that moving around helped so much with recovery for me. I was very lucky to have my mom take care of me. I seriously have the best mom-she'd give a stranger the shirt off her back and I was a little sad when she went home a week after surgery. We had a little spa day and got our hair done and I got a facial. We ran lunch and parts/supplies up to the farm a few days so I had a few car trips during the first week of recovery but it was so nice to see my family during that time. I do get a little sore so I've been taking a tylenol/ibuprofen combination which works great. My steristrips come off Sept 22nd and my post op is Sept 30th since I decided to go out of town during some of my recovery to visit my fiancé. I've found a few things that have been helpful/nice. Dermoplast- I spray at night before I go to bed or when they are feeling sore. Bio-oil I use to massage and help keep the skin healthy. I bought some neosporin with pain relief for after the steristrips come off and also some Scaraway silicone scar sheets.
Congratulations on your engagement and your new breasts! That's nice you had friends that have gone through this. Next time you update your review, we'd love to hear more details about your ongoing recovery. Feel free to post any pictures you're comfortable sharing!
