It has only been two months and when I went to the Doctor today, he told me they haven't been seeing good results till after four months. He talked to several others Doctors doing the same procedure and they all agreed about six months for the best result. Well we took pictures today, two months out and he wasn't expecting much change but he emailed me the pictures and was very impressed for only two months out.

I think your results are VERY impressive especially for two months out. I'm thinking of having this procedure in the fall. Skin is just a little "creapy" under the chin.

I'm just about 5 months out and have seen no results yet. I was told to wait 6 months but I doubt if I will wake up at 6 months and suddenly see results.

Btw, your pics show way more improvement than mine

In some of my patients, results are starting to show at two months, even though we were not expecting to see them before three. This procedure is terribly exciting for surgeon and patient alike..

Did you also have lipo, or any other procedure?

Thank you for your response, Dr. Karaca. Some people who have posted ThermiTight results on RealSelf also had lipo and neglected to mention it. I had lipo + Thermi back in October with not great results (loose , crepey skin). Three weeks ago, my doc did a revision with Thermi only. I'm hopeful that it will help tighten what the first round didn't. I've been unsure what to expect based on reviews here, since it's hard to tell who's had ONLY Thermi. The before and after pics in this post give me a little more hope in the technology. Thanks again.

I think the technique , including the energy used also causes a different result. Very early on, I started using the highest suggested temps on my patients. On patients where I did lipo and Thermitight, I see even better and faster results. I love the technology, after years of doing mini facelifts and tightening procedures, this is a godsend.

You are the first person I've heard that has had a 2nd go round. I spoke with me Dr. yesterday and he said he did not know of anyone having the procedure redone. I have had little to no results at 5 months and 2 weeks, but will wait until 9 months to decide on redo.

According to my doc, he has done a Thermi-only revision on a few patients who didn't have optimal results the first time around with lipo + Thermi, and he's seen improved results with revisions on those patients. According to him, the manufacturer-recommended heat settings were lower a year or two ago, but that recently (past 6 months to year) docs realized they can safely increase heat settings, leading to better results. So, he did mine at a higher setting. I hope it works. For me, it's too soon to tell. I'll be at just 4 weeks out tomorrow. In a few months, when I have a better idea of what my results will or won't be, I'll post a review on Real Self.

I had my revision at 8 months. I think between 6-8 months you'll be ok to pursue a revision as it will have given the original scarring time to heal. It's possible that you still might see some improvement in the coming months, but I doubt you'll see anything dramatic. If you haven't seen any changes so far, it seems unlikely you'll suddenly see favorable results. If I were you, I'd make an appointment to see your doc in about a month and talk to him about your options.
