October 2016 I had FUT hair transplant to lower my hairline 1750 grafts, I was born with a naturally high hairline. I was pretty desperate and didn't do enough research, being in and out of the U.K. for work it was hard to find time for a consultation so I decided just to go for it with Ziering and hope for the best, surely it couldn't be worse then it was before? Wrong!
I wish I stuck to my gut feeling and cancelled, from the minute I booked it, the patient adviser Steve Norris just disappeared, I never heard from him again, I'd send emails with questions and never got a reply, I called a few times leaving messages and never heard back from him, it very much like he had my money now he didn't care. Dr Krishnan who did my suregery, I even emailed him a few times when I did not hear back from the patient adviser, but he also didn't respond, alarms bells were ringing at this point but I kept thinking it will be fine it's just the nerves. So few days before surgery still hadn't heard anything so I was having to call hospital myself to find out when and what was happening.
The day it'self seemed okay, Dr Krishnan was friendly as were the nurses, however the follow up and results have been awful, I have never heard from them again, not one call or email to see how my recovery was going, and it's now 8 months post op. I see now they have changed the name from Ziering to enhance surgical.. AVOID! My hairline is awful, it looks completely fake (sorry can't bear to put picture on Internet) and it has grown through sooo patchy, I realise it is only 8 months but there is no way the hairline is going to change at all in the next few months, and the patchiness. My confidence is lower then ever, Im having to cut my own hair as I'm too embarrassed to go to a hairdressers, I live in a hat whenever I can, I have to use so much hairspray to hold down my fringe so you can't see the hairline.
I am now having consultations with other surgeons to correct this. People please learn from my mistake, it really can look worse then it already is, do you research properly and make sure they are well qualified!
