final check up

Well, it's been a while since I last updated. I've been to see my wonderful surgeon for the last time today. I've healed really well and he was really pleased with the result! As am I!!! I've had a few openings, if you can call it that, from where the stitches have dissolved, but have closed nicely. My life has changed incredibly, to my confidence to being able to wear clothes I have never been able to wear before. And not to mention the 'no longer pain in my shoulders and back.' I now can't wait for summer!! Bring it on! :-)

6 days post op

Well...6 days in and still loving them! Had dressings changed on Friday and haven't got to back to see ps until next month, nurse said I'm healing really well :-) The swelling has gone down now and have been showering since yesterday, which feels amazing! no longer waking up through the night for painkillers. I haven't been doing much, got hubby running round like a mad man, ha. Making the most of it. I'm Looking forward to getting out of the house a little more next week, perhaps a bit of shopping for new clothes as all my tops are stretched!

I started puberty at a very young age and by the time I reached the first year of secondary school I was already a D cup. It gained unwanted attention from men and boys and I felt like it made me feel i had to grow up quicker than my my friends who still looked like 'girls'. Don't get me wrong, by the time I reached my late teans, my boobs were great, big, bouncy and I grew into them. However, 10 years later, after having a baby and just general gravity, they dropped! They got so heavy, so near to my belly button :-( they back pain and day to day strain of carrying these cement blocks on my chest just got to much. I hated not being able to take my bra off, at any time, including during intimate times with my partner of 8 years. I went to see my gp who referred me to my ps and my funding was approved!!! I was ecstatic! To say the least. I first saw my ps in April and I had the surgery on Monday just gone!! So far it is everything I expected and wanted it to be. I've had my dressings taken off today and seen the new girls for the first time! I'm a little sore but am literally just taking paracetamol for it. It's so surprising. I have been on this site everyday for months reading everyone's reviews and looking and re-looking at pictures and it has helped me immensely. I had to do the same to hopefully help others. If you are considering it, from what I've experienced so far, it has 96% success rate for a reason. I'm Thrilled!!!
