Breast lift without implants I have always had...

Breast lift without implants
I have always had sagging breasts for as long as I remember. After having my 2 children (5 & 8) I decided to go ahead and get a breast lift. I went for my 1st consultation and booked in for surgery for the 1st August 2017.The morning of the lift I was so nervous/scared. I arrived at the clinic at 8.30am and was escorted to my room. My surgeon came in and drew on me about 11am and I was walked to theatre at 1pm. I was back in my room by 3pm. The pain was manageable (hardly any at all to be honest) I put this down to the pain relief I was given. Later on the evening I had a little oozing from both nipples. The nurse changed my dressings and cleaned me up. I had an overnight stay in the clinic to make sure everything was as it should be.
Today is one week post op, I have my follow up appointment later this evening. I will update how it all goes and try and get some more photos of my girlies.

From the moment I met with my surgeon I felt very comfortable with him and any questions I had were answered. The nurses at the clinic were fantastic and couldn't have been any nicer. I have rated based on my experience so far, I have not yet been back to a follow up appointment

How are things now ??

I'm still on the right track, I have feeling back in my right breast, thankfully no pain. My next appointment is in 5 weeks with my surgeon. My right nipple is lower than my right but my nurse as put this down to swelling after all the trouble I had with my right boob x

1 week post op

Ok so tonight I went for my one week post op appointment. I got to see the girls without the bandages.
I burst into tears and was a blubbering mess. Even after seeing hundreds of photos of scaring and healing boobies it's different when you're looking in a mirror and seeing it on yourself.
My Scar under my breast crease is so long - they virtually meet in the centre of my chest and seem to go right round To my armpit. I wasn't expecting that at all. I thought they would be more concealed in the natural fold. After all I had this lift so I could sometimes go bra less and wear pretty dresses and backless tops and maybe triangle bikinis!!
I didn't take a photo today as I was in a state. I will update again after my next follow up the 16th.

The nurse asked me why I wasn't wearing a compression band? My surgeon made me remove it an hour after surgery. Not sure why this is.

Hi there, I wouldn't loose heart at this stage, from what I have seen as soon as boobs start to settle in that crease is well hidden. Try to think positive thoughts, sending you some of mine too [RS bleep]

Can I ask what hospital you were in?xx

I was in Dolan park x

Thank you. The scaring isn't actually what Forbes tonne, obviously I was expecting them. The scaring is very neat at this early stage. The most disheartening thing is the scars virtually meet in the centre of my chest. There's no way these will be hidden in bikinis/low cut tops.

Ohh I see, I have seen that in other anchor type uplifts on this site. I am sorry that this was not something you were expecting, I think this would upset me too if I hadn't been told how long the scars would be. I don't know how well you scar, however looking at the tone of your skin compared to very fair women who can have very pink or dark scars in comparison they may not be that noticeable in a normal bikini top? What did your surgeon say the scars would be like? Xx

I'm still in two minds to have this done. I saw the breast Cancer nurse again this week and broke down. I'm going to see the surgeon again on Friday and show him how I want my boobs to look. Also I want to know how long the scar will be under my boob. I'm only having that done on one boob and something different on rads boob. Hope you are well xx

Hi ALi I hope you are well! Did you go to your consultation? I'm really pleased with my new breasts now and I'm only 4 weeks post x
August 13, 2017
Hi ALi, what hospital are you going to?
My surgeon said my scars are so long because I had a reduction on my right breast and they were grade 3 ptsosis. I've kind of come to terms with the scars now. I still have my bandages on but my girls are sitting on my chest where they are supposed to be and my nipples are facing forward. I guess the scars are a litte price to pay. I have my 2nd post op appointment Tuesday and the nurse said if everything is healing well the bandages can come off. Fingers crossed it is and I'll post some photos.
I hope you are well Ali, how long have you been considering this? Xx

Hi, I'm having it done on NHS North Manchester. I've been thinking over a year but I keep thinking it's not going to look right. I'm a 34 C cup so not so big. None of my family want me to have it as I've only stopped having pain from cancer treatment 5 yrs ago.
August 13, 2017
What makes you think it's not going to look right? If it's the pain that's putting you off I can honestly say it's no where near as painful as what I was expecting. I had the op done on the Tuesday and went home Wednesday morning. Take the pain meds that you are given. I stopped taking them by the Thursday and swapped them for senokot as I was so bloated from constipation I looked pregnant.
I travelled to brean with my little Ines on Saturday and enjoyed a week there with them. I done everything I would normally do except for swimming as my surgeon said no submerging in water for 6 weeks.
At home I feel useless as I'm not hoovering, mopping, washing or hanging clothes out yet as I don't want to push myself too soon.
Only you know if this is what you want and if the time is right for you x
August 13, 2017
Thanks for that Hun I'm thinking I'm going to be in such terrible pain when I had lumpectomy and lymph nodes removed. When were you told you can carry a hoover upstairs I've been told 4 or 5 weeks. Was you told not to lift arms above your head? Tell me about being bunged up I was like that when I had my op.
August 13, 2017
I honestly wasn't in much pain at all. It's nothing like I was expecting.
The hardest thing for me is no showering for 2 weeks I feel absolutely minging.
I was advised to basically not do anything at all for the first 2 weeks, no lifting no cleaning, basically don't use your arms at all to help the healing. Easier said than done when you have little ones and you're not in any pain. Do you have someone that can help you for the first 2 weeks? My husbands back at work tomorrow (he works away mon-Friday) and I'm going back to work tomorrow also.
August 13, 2017
Great news you are well enough to go to work! I have my own company with my hubby and I also have a cleaning company that I work at as well. I've three girls my youngest is 19 and my 21 yr old will look after me as she is back from last yr of uni. I hate doing nothing so not looking forward to that side.
August 13, 2017
Can I ask, have you got any numbness or loss of sensation in nipples. When I had my lymph nodes removed I couldn't feel anything and it itched like mad. After 4 yrs I started getting shooting pain in my arm , shoulder and arm pit. It was horrible, it is normal now but took 5 yrs. I'm not sure I want to go through that again . Xx
August 13, 2017
Oh bless you it must have been awfull to go through all that.
My left nipple is very sensitive it's hard all the time.. I had no feeling in my right nipple at all up until yesterday but it's slowly coming back now. I had severe itching when I came round from the op but they told me that was from the morphine. My incisions itch a little now but I'm sure that's because they're healing. I can't wait to see them again tomorrow. I will upload photos for you so you can see xx

2 weeks post op

shellee30
Ok so yesterday I went for my 2 week post op appointment. All excited that my dressings would finally be removed and I'd be able to see my girlies properly, at home, in private. Well no such luck. The nurses - all 3 of them were fantastic and made me feel at ease and comfortable.
However when they removed the dressing from my right breast it was covered in green gunk - what the hell is going on with my body. How did I not feel this oozing and why hadn't I been in pain? Well they took a swab from under my breast... they couldn't find where this stuff was coming from but took a swab anyway. And boom the bandages am back on- again-for yet another week.
So this will be my 3rd week with no shower. The 3rd week using a friggin flannel and the 3rd week of dandruff as my husbands 'washing' my hair.

I've peeled the bandaged back (naughty me) to show you my incisions on my right breast. From the photo I don't know if you will make it out as it looks like a butt haha. It's not... it's nearest to my armpit.

Next update next Tuesday on my 3rd week post op appointment as I'm now scheduled for weekly appointments till this green stuff disappeares

Hi hun did you get stuck with one of the straps squeezing your girls down? I woke up with that on but when my surgeon came in he told me to take it off? Not sure why. I'm just stuck with this new funky bandage bra for another week.
Lucky me eh xx
