Scored a great deal on Groupon. I've always struggled with hair on my chin and upper lip. I generally tweeze the unwanted hairs but I've tried shaving and waxing. As I'm getting older I'm noticing more and more facial hair so I decided to try laser removal. I'm also concerned about new discoloration under my chin so I'm highly motivated. I'm hoping my treatment goes well. I'll update once I have my 1st of 4 treatments starting tomorrow.

Ok sooo the staff was very friendly. I went in then signed a bunch of papers saying that I understood I could be burned, blistered, and possibly have irreversible changes to my skin pigmentation so needless to say I was contemplating not going thru with the procedure. I got to the back. Laid down on a table. The technician put goggles on me for protection and put some extremely cold gel substance on my chin. After that she put the laser on my face at level 5. The laser was very warm and occasionally prickly like a small but rapid stick. I'm very sensitive to pain and I was not in pain so she raised the level to 7. Level 7 was too much. It almost felt like a slight pinch so she lowered the level to 6 which was good for me. She went all around the area about 10 times total then wiped the gel off of my face. The whole process took 30 minutes. I was informed that I would not see any improvement until the 3rd session. The hairs will eventually stop growing out. I cannot pluck hairs anymore I can only shave. That was the worst news ever! If I don't pluck daily then I'll have a beard in a week! Also the appointments must be 4 to 6 weeks apart for maximum effect.

Thanks for posting. Please keep us posted on your experiences and progress. I bought a groupon from them also and I'm curious about what to expect and if it works.

I've been shaving as instructed. Was told that I needed a few more sessions since there was no improvement with 6 sessions. I have more facial hair than when I first started. I don't recommend it.

During the treatment did it seem like it took the hair longer to grow back ? I'm really contemplating if I should discontinue my treatments I had 3 treatments every month when the 4th month month came she cancelled then booked me a month later so I missed a whole month she double booked me for May !!
