I have a round of fraxel 2 years ago and decided to get another one . But when I got to the doctor office, she said she could not do laser on me because the psoriasis flared up around my forehead and my temple!!
So she said I should try microneedling because it won't heat up the skin and won't interfere with the active psoriasis!!
So I got my numbing cream on waited for an hour then the nurse came in and did it!!! The numbing cream working wonder because I did not feel a thing, it actually feel good when the needle vibrating on my face!!! Nothing happen yet but I already like it way better then fraxel because it's did not hurt, I don't feel burn , hot or any thing! It's just look a little scary after all done!!! I decided to do just on my lower face and not my forehead or chin because I don't have scars there!!
Today only my second days !! So I will update some more pictures!!!

They uses the micro pen from eclipse esthetics !!! I'm not sure about the length but you can look it up on their web side!!

Second and third days
My skin started to peel , my skin feel much firmer, beside the little pin point bleeding bruise spot, skin heel up real quick, the are advertised in some people it heel up as soon as 24 hours!

Wow you look better, particulary you left cheek. The scars you have on your right cheek are really deep, you will have to wait after several treatments to see results. If not I recommend you subcision.

Did she use any serums during the micro needling? How did she inform u to take care of your skin after the treatment? Have u noticed any hyperpigmentation? Many thx

Yes !! It's call hyaluronic acid serum!! For after treatment, I'm not sure it the same serum she use during though! I will ask next time!

they gave me combination liquid of vitamin C with hyaluronic acid to use 3 x per day...smells awful and face is greasy .....

I have had my 2nd round with microneedling....I brought in Lidodern for the pain...my cheeks did not hurt only around the lips WOW.......so next month another round...I see difference in fine lines ....I am using a lot of liquid vitamin C as they requested ....are you having another session ?

hi tpasunrise, Did you experience any hyperpigmentation? I'd like to try micro needling but I'm nervous about hyperpigmentation. Did they suggest any ceramides , Hyaluronic Acid, hydroquinone, retinoids? What brand of vitamin c are u using? Do u have any forehead lines? Were they improved? thx

They give you a bottle with a dropped in it is liquid Vitamin C and hyaluronice acid ......it is smelly but I put it on 3 x per day ....no forehead lines ....no I did not experience any hyperpigmentation at all....the sunspots I already developed from living in sunny Florida before...but I do have a tube of Retinol the dermatologist had given me ...so I am dabbing on that ....they have been much lighter...but I think if I am back in the sun again over the months will be back again...but anyway makeup helps with that.....I am very glad I had microneedling...not only is it way less expensive ...but it develops your "own" collagen and will last over a few years....I do see a difference ....I really do !!

oh it does takes months before you see a significant difference ....it is stimulating your own collagen ....only have read good things about microneedling and PRP....

12 days after microneedling !
Here are some pictures 10 days after!! I feel great! Skin look dewy!! No pink or hyperpigmention !!! Yeah! I support to go again on the 3/28. To answer the question if they use any serum in me, yes they did! It call hyaluronic acid serum exclusivesly for EclipseDSR

Do you plan on getting more treatments? I was recommended three treatments. My physician's office had a special of buy one ($300), get one free, so I just bought that. I did my 1st treatment yesterday. Looks good today, but still hard to tell.

I wanted to get a second treatment after 3 week , but they scheduled me at 6 week apart! My face look much better, I can't wait to get another one !!!

Thx for all the updates. Which do u prefer fraxel or micro needling? From what I've read on realself it sounds like micro needling is a lot safer.

I like micro needling a lot more! Cheaper, no pain, quick healing, no pigmentation afterward, safer!! I like it a whole lot!!!!
Thanks for sharing. I really want to try microneedling, I have just been scared! I am glad to hear it's not painful, or at least not for you :) How many treatments will you need to have?
