I've been considering a BA for years, but became more serious after dropping 30 lbs almost three years ago. Well, in the process of losing tummy fluff, I also lost my lady lumps. Thank God I managed to keep my butt! Problem is, now I'm not proportionate AT ALL. I was top-heavy at my highest weight, and my boobs went flying off the treadmill with the rest of me, leaving me with deflated tops.

Anyway...my closest gal pals said "Girl, stop talking about it and DO it!" We were all expressing body wishes and looking at Dr. Miami's IG (how can you not? Lol), and I decided they were right. I've kept the weight off, saved the money, and well, I guess there's "nothing to it but to do it."

So, a coworker of mine went to Dr. Hedden, and I was convinced after reading his reviews. I even like how he handles negative comments about him, his staff, or the dreaded wait time. I like that he comes right on here and tries to make it right and takes the time to address issues. So, with that being said, I'm booked for 5/28...

And I'm suddenly clueless. I've gone back and forth on profile, finally settled on saline unders, and then what happens? I work with a girl who has overs. She tells me about how much easier the recovery is...*she's had hers for 20 years with no issues...and yes, she showed me* SN--I'm so gonna be the girl who's like "here, look" when other girls ask questions about augmentation, I just know it lol. Anyway, so I'm having a moment...unders or overs...I lift weights, so I know I'll keep my chest muscles strong, but if I go over I think I'd prefer silicone over saline...but saline is safer...

So one day of working 3 flights led me to so many questions that I decided to FINALLY post my story after being on here for so many months reading everyone else's. I guess I'll be doing some serious thinking over the next couple days. I had my lab work done last Monday, I'm all clear, and I've ordered everything I think I need for recovery. My phone call with the nurse is scheduled for the 15th and I'll have more info then. Until then, breast wishes to everyone with upcoming dates and happy recovery to those already on the other side!

I'm so glad you started a pre op review. I hope the community is helpful and supportive! We'd love to see some wish boob pictures to get an idea of the look you are seeking. Keep us posted...and congratulations on the weight loss!

Yassss! Your boobs look AMAZING! So glad to see Hedden do it again! I used to live in Charlotte. What made you decide on Hedden?

Nurse Call. Prepped for travel.

I realized that I didn't give much info about myself stat-wise. I'm 5'3, athletic, a muscular 135lbs, and 36 years old. I run and/or lift weights 4-5 times a week and I can't believe I'm ready to give myself a break! I'm sure I'll have to reread this during my recovery when I find myself antsy about getting back into the gym.

I live in NC but will be traveling to AL for surgery. All the items I bought for my recovery arrived this week (cozy joggers, matching hoodie, arnicare, body wash, wedge pillow, silicone scar sheets, neck pillow, front close bras, Tylenol, antibacterial wash, bendy straws). I already take a multivitamin and vitamin C so I'm ahead of the game with that. If I'm forgetting something you found helpful, let me know!!

I had my phone call with the nurse, Carol, yesterday to go over all the things I needed to know about meds, vitamins, foods to avoid and how things would go for my pre-op and my day of surgery. My reservation is booked at the hotel and I have listed myself for my flight. Thankfully being a flight attendant comes in handy, I don't have to buy my ticket and there are generally plenty seats open on the quick hops to Birmingham:)

So I've been doing more research, and although I like the idea of quick recovery with overs, I don't want to risk any other complications or rippling that can (note I said can not will) come from going that route. I have enough sick time to take off and heal during the month of June so I'm sticking to my original plan of going under the muscle, and saline because the idea of salt-water just makes me feel more comfortable. I know that I'm likely to change my mind when I have a lift later and I'm already having my tatas squeezed in a mammogram machine, but until then, saline it is.

I'm antsy now though because I have AWFUL allergies and I had a layover in one of the not so nice hotels on my last trip. I woke up with the dry cough that comes from exposure to mold which I am HIGHLY allergic to. Ugh!! Fighting mold and pollen is not a battle I'm up to at the moment so I'm thankful that I have the next 9 days to get myself better. I don't feel bad at all, but I know that cough will be hell on my chest while I'm recovering! Anyway...I'm finally posting before pics...so here goes...

Hi Glitz thanks for sharing and wishing you the very best on your BA. Can you tell me what is your current cup size and what you are looking to get post surgery? How many cc's did you decide on? Looking forward to following your story. Also did you have to pay upfront? Any details are helpful. Thanks again.

I'm currently a small 32B. I would like to be a full D post op. I haven't decided on cc's as my pre-op is not until the day before my surgery since I am traveling for the procedure. I promise to keep you posted though! Also I did send payments upfront just because it was easier. I will make the final payment at my pre-op on the 27th.
