Good morning everyone. I am 40 and mother of 3. I am 5'2" and 116 lbs. I am a deflated 34 b. I want to be a small d. I need some advice about cc size please!!! Also in prep for my ba I decided to get a mammogram since I havw never had one even though my doc didnt require it. Well I went yesterday for labs and mammogram. The tech that did it showed me image and told me I have dense breast. Since this was my first she didnt want me to be scared when I got a letter. She said I may need different tests bc of it. It had not been read yet but now I am more confused than ever. She said sometimes insurance wont pay for further tests. Also worried if I should even get the ba now. If anyone has similar experience please share. Thanks ladies. I have wanted this forever and finally saved the money to do it

Hey what type of implants are getting? I had my first consultation today and I am also second guessing the procedure :(

Im getting saline not sure about cc amount yet. I think its natural to second guess our decision. How did your consult go?

I cried the entire way home so I would say not well. Lol..

Oh no sweetie. What happened. Was it that you were upset bc you were not sure

No just the opposite. Ive wanted a ba for years. I didn't know you had to quit smoking which is going to be extremely for me. Plus everything I walked in wanting she shot down. I want saline she called them cheap. I wanted a pit incision, she said they will appear seperated. I walked in confident in my research and walked out a mess :(

Maybe you should try another ps. Most of my consult was with the nurse. I spent hardly any time with the surgeon. He gave no advice about size or anything. So im still kinda confused on that part

I do plan on doing more consults. Its just discouraging. I actually liked her personality but just didn't feel she was open to what I wanted. Just what her preferences are. Thanks and good luck :)

Good luck to you too and keep me updated. Did she seem like ahe wasnt open at all on doing what you want. When were you planning on getting surgery done

I was looking to do it asap but now that I have to quit smoking for at least 6 weeks its a huge set back. Im 31 and ive been smoking almost a pack a day since I was about 15. I know I should quit anyway but its easier said then done. . And she did not seem open to what I wanted at all. She told me saline was cheap and felt cheap. She held the implant like she wanted to toss it in the trash. Lol. She said silicone was "perfectly safe" but from what ive read thats just not true. Thanks so much.

Oh wow, I would be upset if I didn't get to talk to the doctor himself. He's the one doing the surgery in my body after all

After my first consult with a PS I cried in the parking lot for 30+ min before I could attempt to drive home.... I found my PS on my 3rd consult! Find your doctor! He/She is out there!

Hey I took a look through your page and I can see you were upset. I recognized you had tubaler breast right away before I even read it which tells me I've been on this site entirely too much. Lol. after asking drs and posting a pic of my breast I got some answers that reassured me I would find a dr on the same page as me. Thank you for your comment and good luck. Hope it all works out for the best :)

We have similar stats. I had something suspicious with my mammo also last year but it turned out to be nothing. Your doc will probably order a breast ultrasound to examine the dense tissue, which should be covered by insurance. I was ready to cancel my surgery also until I confirmed the results were negative with the ultrasound, so I feel your pain. I would suggest getting under the muscle if your tissue is dense so that future mammos won't be obstructed. I got 225cc over the muscle and I went from a 32A to a D with Mentor HP silicone. Check out my review. Don't be too worried about the medical part, but do get further tests to make sure all is well. It will definitely help to set your mind at ease and then you can prepare for the fun part!!!

Thank you so much! I guess you can definitely worry yourself way too much thinking about. This was my first mamo and my surgery is scheduled for the 5th next week. My ps said he would order mamo but not follow up on it. I dont think I have time to see my general practioner before then. Then on top of that I read online that if you have really close cleavage as I do you could get uniboob? There is literally no gap in between. So worried about the recovery part. I teach so really cant afford to miss much. Guess im trying talk myself out of it eben though I have wanted this forever

I haven't heard of too many uniboob stories at all. Don't worry about that. The surgeons know how to prevent that. If it's not the right time for you, you will know. That was my first mammo last year too a month before the BA. I never expected a glitch and thought I would be crazy to proceed from there. It turned out just fine. There's a whole range of emotions that you are supposed to go thru before this procedure, so just know that what you are feeling is normal. It's not to be take lightly. On the other hand, though, you deserve what you have been desiring. I think you will be just fine, but, regardless, take good care of yourself.

I've read about a lot of doctors having that opinion about the saline implants. They are significantly cheaper in price, maybe. Excuse the silicone offer much more natural look and feel and that's a luxury to most? I don't know, are you dead set on getting just saline?

*price. Maybe because. ( don't know why excuse is there, typo lol. )

Yes I started out on the fence but the more I read the more certain I have become that I want saline. I asked the docs with a photo of my boobs and I got some encouraging responses :)
