28 Year Old Woman, Trapped in a 12 Yr Old Girls Body Lol. Birmingham, AL

ORIGINAL POST

I am 28 yrs old and had wanted breast implants for...

WORTH IT$3,500
I am 28 yrs old and had wanted breast implants for at least 14 yrs that i can remember!! I am 5.6, 120 lbs and a former A cup. I had my surgery back in May and I am now 5 months post op. The size is great!! I did form a bit of double bubble in the left breast. It also slants in the inner cleavage and the imoplant looks like its coming out of the side. As far as both breast goes they have dropped to the point to where I'm scared that I might have bottomed out. You can literally see the form of an implant at the bottom and sides of my breast. I am not sure if its normal or not. I did go with 475 cc's and am small. I wish I could've discussed it more with the doctor and would have went with an internal bra to keep them from bottoming out. The left breast's implant sits so low that my nipple will not fit into a bra or bathing suit without peaking out of the top. The good news is that underneath a shirt I am not flat chested!! lol But as far as them sitting up or being full up top is def a no. I am a little concerned that I have bottomed out due to the nipples sitting up so high.

Dr. Hedden was good. He did seem busy, maybe lack of the planning with the office staff. I live 2 hours away. My first visit was very discouraging. I was supposed to have my consultation, blood work etc done. I was very discouraged. 1st of all The staff didn't even seem to know that i was scheduled for an appointment... since it was a late appointment they also seemed ready to go because it was the end of the day. ( I had took off of work and drove for 2 hours, was on time.. actually 45 mins early) I had already made a deposit a month in advance. 2nd, The front lady didn't realize that I had already made a hefty deposit and over charged me.. which was corrected after I showed my statements. It was like they really had no clue as to what was going on and wanted me out of there . 3rd, they were in such a hurry that I didn't even feel like I was able to discuss much of anything. I asked the nurses about sizes and they seemed annoyed. By the end of my "15 min" visit the nurse ran out and didn't even get my blood work. Which I had to take off work again and pay extra to have a lab do locally. The day of surgery, I had explained my concerns to Dr. Hedden. He was very compassionate and reassuring. The nurse was pleasant and comforting in answering my questions. The surgery went well. I had some "freak out" moments during recovery, and the nursing staff as well as Dr. Hedden were good about returning emails, phone calls, etc and answering my questions of concern. My 2 week check up, I took off work and drove 2 hours to my appointment. The office staff called me 45 mins before my appointment and asked me to reschedule because they were running behind. I was 10 mins from the building. I felt outraged, I was 30 mins early and had done my part. For them to call me maybe that morning or the day before what have been more comprehendible. But not 45 mins before my appointment and 10 mins before my arrival time. I could understand if maybe I was a local patient, but not an out of town patient. They went ahead and took me with little wait time. Dr. Hedden was apologetic and even gave me a bottle of scar gel. His nurse was great in answering my questions. I feel like the real problem is the office staff. They seem unorganized, unprofessional, and uncompassionate. $3500 is a lot of money to me.. and to feel like I'm being heard in and out like cattle is a little disappointing. I am going for my check up this Tuesday and looking forward to hearing what he thinks of my results. I hope that I just had a bad experience with his office staff and that that's not how they normally operate. His price is great.. but as far as service (staff) I felt like I got what I had paid for. :( if I don't have to pay more for a revision.

Sorry you're having troubles with your outcome. I needed a revision because of cap con and I didn't like what my old doc said, so I went with a new ps and got larger implants and Strattice, which is an acellular dermal matrix (internal bra) that helps with cap con, malpositioning, rippling, and bottoming out. You are probably in need of a revision, my dear. And mine was very costly. But, they look amazing now!! Check out my reviews if you're interested.
Hi tigerlily( sorry it's the only name you have posted) the internal bra procedure is never a procedure performed on someone at their initial surgery as most patients do not drop and the added cost is saved by the patient. The internal bra procedure is only performed after a surgery if the implants appear to have dropped to a place too low in the patients eyes. I would suggest coming in and discussing this with us as well as your concerns as typically this is a very simple fix. Please just call the office and they will help set everything up for you. Have a great weekend. Dr. Hedden
Remember the main reason someone may get a double bubble look is if they have a component of a tubular breast which the remaining constricted bans are still present so the old shorter crease still evident or they had droopiness which if their trying to avoid a lift causes the implant to be placed via the biplanar approach which leads to that appearance. But all of these other then the inherent tubular breast can be fixed very easily. The tubular or constricted breast on the other hand is what leaves residue banding which appears as a double bubble and that does not always go away completely. In either case it would be nice if you would come in and allow us to go over this with you and address what can be done. Please call the office at 205-980-1744. Have a great weekend. Dr Hedden
Thanks for your post as this helps to decided on which physicians to use, the plastic surgery field is very competitive, sometimes it's hard to decide who to use as a surgeon...
